A pesticide called Fipronil above 95% is used to treat dogs and cats for flea, tick, and lice infestations. For crops including wheat, maize, citrus fruits, and vegetables like tomatoes, it is also employed as an insecticide. Fipronil kills parasites through touch or absorption through the skin in concentrations exceeding 95%. Fipronil is a broad-spectrum insecticide that can be applied to a variety of crops as well as to pests in veterinary medicine, public restrooms, and recreational areas.


It is often injected at low to extremely low dose rates to achieve effective pest control. It is used in many different applications. Grass granules, gel baits, spot-on pet care products, liquid termite control solutions, and agricultural pesticides are just a few of the pesticides that contain Fipronil. A widely used pesticide from the phenylpyrazole chemical family is called fipronil. Ants, beetles, cockroaches, fleas, ticks, termites, mole crickets, thrips, rootworms, weevils, and other insects can all be controlled with the help of fipronil. The whitish powder that is fipronil has a musty smell.


To minimize the potential impact of Fipronil on the environment, it is important to use it responsibly and according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer. This includes using the appropriate protective equipment when handling and applying fipronil, following recommended application rates, and avoiding application near water sources or areas with high bee activity.
