Reasons why your Microwave oven not working

Oh No, Your microwave oven is not working? But, why?

Are you aware of the reasons?

If No, then do not worry. I am here to help you with it!

Most people's kitchens now come equipped with microwaves as standard. It frequently takes the microwave to break down before you realise how practical and handy it is. You might be able to do microwave oven repair by yourself but it is frequently preferable to hire a qualified professional due to the risk of electrocution. But before hiring, it is essential to know the reasons why it is not working.

So, let’s dive deep into the common reasons why your microwave oven stopped working.

The door is not locked

This is one of the most common reasons that happens most of the time with your microwave. It happens that several times you forgot to close the microwave door properly. The power to the microwave is normally switched off by three or four door switches on microwave ovens if the door is not closed completely. A door switch may malfunction from time to time, mainly from wear and tear or from being trapped. The microwave won't operate if a door switch is broken.

Blown Fuse

A blown fuse may be to blame if your microwave stops functioning out of the blue. Unplug the microwave and remove the exterior shell (if you feel comfortable doing so) to check the fuse. Locate the fuse close to where the power cord enters and look for any evidence of damage or a wire that has snapped. Replace the blown fuse with a fresh one that has the same rating.

Issues with the power supply

A problem with the power supply is the fundamental cause of your microwave oven's malfunction. Make that the oven is connected to a working electrical outlet properly. There are situations when a tripped circuit breaker results in a power outage. If necessary, check the circuit breaker panel and reset any tripped breakers.

Things to remember

· When you are in a hurry, it often happens that you forgot to press the ‘Start’ button of your microwave after setting time. If you fail to do so, then you might be worried about why your microwave is not working. If it doesn't work, try again after pressing the "stop" or "cancel" button to reset any programming, timing, or delay features that might have been inadvertently set.

· The appliance may not be receiving power. Verify that it is plugged in before checking your electrical panel box to see if a fuse has blown or a circuit breaker switch has been tripped.

· It's possible that the microwave door isn't closed all the way or that the door switch isn't functioning properly. Microwaves won't operate unless the door is securely closed and the switch is firmly connected to tell the oven to turn on. Because doing so can harm the switch, you should take care not to slam a microwave oven's door.

So, look for these reasons before getting worried. If not able to troubleshoot by yourself, then do not wait to seek a professional microwave oven repair service!
