SMRT Driving Charity Run on Station for Passengers to Donate by Scanning QR Code

SMRT Corporation, one of the leading public transportation systems in Singapore, running successfully under the supervision of the SMRT Chairman and CEO, is making travel seamless for all passengers. The extended network of SMRT's train network is spread wide across the city while allowing different people to travel cost-effectively and reach their preferred destinations on time. At regular intervals, SMRT Corporation initiates several activities at the train stations along with campaigns to drive the attention of passengers and support the community. One of the recent community drives organized by SMRT is the interactive 'Snap & Donate'. This article highlights the new community donation campaign inaugurated by SMRT at different train stations. Also, get to know how passengers can donate money to the charity and become an integral part of the campaign.

Snap & Donate Campaign at SMRT Train Stations 

Recently, SMRT has tied up successfully with Steller Ace, which is SMRT's advertising arm, and Community Chest. As part of this campaign, SMRT allows all the passengers to donate some money as per their capacity on specific train stations like East-West, North-South, and Circle MRT lines. There is another feature as part of the community is allowing the passengers to donate and take a picture of the donation. This part of the donation campaign is fully digitized by SMRT and its alliance with the advertising community chest. Passengers traveling via SMRT trains have the convenience of scanning the QR code on the donation machine making charity a hassle-free manner. 

Next Phase of Charity at Jurong East MRT Interchange Line 

As per the community assistance campaign, it has been decided that this Snap & Donate campaign will be organized at the Jurong East MRT interchange line on of October 04 and will continue to operate at the City Hall MRT interface from October 05 to November 01, respectively. The campaign will be located at the Exit D of Jurong East MRT Station. There will be a touchscreen booth for all the interested passengers to donate some money. The touch screen machine will allow the people to follow a step-by-step guide in donating the money, taking their picture, and receiving a soft copy via email. 

Convenience to Donate Via PayNow Stickers & QR Code

To make the donation campaign all the more successful, SMRT has made sure that passengers do not find the hassle of donating money via cash. All they have to do is donate by scanning the QR code of the machine. There is another method of PayNow QR Code stickers that allows passengers to donate $2 on the train platforms at Tampines, Woodlands, and Bishan MRT Stations.

SMRT allows a convenient mode of transportation for all the people of Singapore to save their travel costs and efforts. The leading transportation system organized different sets of campaigns to start a Community Chest donation campaign to help the poor.
