Solution 1: If an Error Happens When Creating a Data File Backup

1.     Go to the server computer.

2.     Run QuickBooks.

3.     Select File < Quit QuickBooks Desktop.

4.     Double-click “This PC”, then “C drive.”

5.     Right-click and click on “new folder”. Rename the folder as “QB test.”

6.     Next, create a backup for your company data file.

7.     Select QB test to choose a location for backup.

8.     Restore the backup of the company file.

9.     Run the backup as the primary company file.

10.  Rename the older company file.

 

Solution 2: When restoring the Data File.

1.     At first, hit a click on Start.

2.     After that go to Search Panel < File Explorer < Open Explorer.

3.     Head to QB folder. There, pick backup file (qbb).

4.     Rename the file.

5.     Remove extra white spaces, special characters, or symbols.

6.     Close the window.

7.     Reboot the device.

8.     Run QB, then restore the company file backup.

 

Solution 3: Review the hosting setting on all devices

1.     Open QuickBooks.

2.     Click File menu > Utilities -

a.     Skip the “host multi-user access” option.

b.     Select “stop hosting multi-user access.”

3.     Choose “Host multi-user access” after repeating the steps.
