Summary
Over 270 full-time courses and 145 sandwich/placement courses in subjects including computer science, social sciences in the UK, art & humanities, engineering, biological sciences, and others are offered at Teesside University, which has changed over the last few decades. In 2021, the university was placed 68th in the Guardian University Guide and 87th in the Times/Sunday Times. Teesside University has been awarded the Silver Teaching Excellence Framework, or TEF, and has won seven National Teaching Fellowships.
Past Events
In actuality, Teesside University's history dates back to 1844. At that time, plans were underway to establish a Mechanics' Institute; but, funding constraints kept them from taking off. The story doesn't end there because the debut of Unlit 1926 was halted by additional budgetary constraints.
By 1930, the Constantine Technical College was officially accepting students, having started construction in 1927. After that, the College saw many advancements and modifications until 1969, when it changed its name to Teesside Polytechnic.
In the ensuing years, other buildings were acquired and expanded. Another name change for Teesside Polytechnic occurred in 1992 as a result of the institution gaining university status and becoming Teesside University. Following the Further and Higher Education Act was this ruling.

Teesside institution submitted a significantly larger volume of personnel and research in the 2021 REF compared to the 2014 REF, and the institution maintained or raised its scores in all three major categories (output, impact, and environment).
Case studies demonstrating the economic, cultural, and social benefits of the University's research focused on a number of strengths, including diversity in the arts, public health, fighting organized crime, and smart energy solutions.
Teesside University's research is now ranked as nearly two-thirds "world-leading" or "internationally excellent," an increase over prior years. Compared to the 2014 submission, the percentage of "world-leading" four-star work almost doubled.

Facilities and Services
All of Teesside's students are intended to receive one-on-one, peer-assisted learning support through the Learning Hub. Academic writing, referencing, study sessions, and other services are all available to students. The institution also offers programs to support students in enhancing their academic abilities. Teesside University has set up a Student Wellbeing support program that offers counseling, helps students make appointments with doctors and dentists, and has a monthly sexual health clinic because it values the overall and mental health of its students. There is access to peer-based listening networks, self-help therapy programs, and counseling as forms of mental health support.
Additionally, the Assessment Centre on Teesside (ACT) is committed to provide mobility assistance, specialized study skills, and the ability to apply for financing, including the Disabled Students' Allowance, among other things. With more than 100 clubs and societies available for enrollment, the Student's Union is also quite active. There are designated areas for students to socialize, eat, drink, shop, and other activities at Teesside's SU. Students can get assistance with application writing, interview preparation, and job placement via the student union and careers service.
There is also the option of part-time employment through the ambassador program. Furthermore, students can apply for paid graduate internships in marketing, IT, HR, and recruitment. Teesside University's law, business, and marketing clinics give students the chance to put their academic knowledge into practice and get significant real-world experience.
The purpose of the Teesside Launchpad is to help prospective business owners locate capital, real estate, and mentorship for their ventures. On the other side, students who need financial aid for a project or report can get it through the Student Experience Fund.
University of Teesside Student Life
Teesside, which is in the Tees Valley near Middlesbrough, offers students access to the vibrant nightlife, culture, and social scene.
