Finland has received from the European commission note, which urged to implement the rules of high-speed electronic communications networks introduction in order to reduce costs.

Rules aimed at increasing the existing telecommunications network infrastructure access and re-use.

the Same remark has also received 18 other EU countries.

the Rules are expected to reduce the high-speed internet access deployment costs by up to 30%.

the Commission has proposed a target that by 2025, all schools, universities, research institutes, transport hubs, public service providers and digital technology-dependent businesses should have access to very high speed, gbit / s connection.

In 2020 the target is set, that 5G would be commercially available in at least one major city in each EU-country.
