p Porsche Digital is opening an office in Santa Clara in a quest to tap the brainpower of Silicon Valley and meld cutting-edge technologies with the automaker’s vehicles, the company said Friday.
/p p The Germany-based vehicle maker said about 100 people will work in the Santa Clara office.
/p p “The car is the ultimate mobile device of the future, and the future is being written in Silicon Valley,” said Thilo Koslowski, managing director of Porsche Digital.
/p p The maker of sports cars said it hopes the digital technology center will enable it to forge new partnerships, cooperate with venture capitalists and invest in new companies.
/p p “The office will focus on the topics of digitalization, connectivity, and smart mobility,” Porsche said in a statement on Friday.
/p p Porsche Digital, which was founded in May 2016, is based in Germany.
