Chinese company Yi Technology has announced the availability of its Yi 4K+ action camera, its first action cam model to offer 4K video recording at a relatively high 60fps.
The company makes pretty big claims about its camera, including that it offers better detail and sharpness than any other competing action camera available.
This is an update to the company’s previously launched Yi 4K Action Camera.
This isn’t the first Yi action camera on the market to offer 4K recording, but it does trump previous offerings by including the option for higher frame-rate capture.
That’s a welcomed change that makes the 4K Ultra HD video recording feature all the more appealing.
The company also says it is the first to use an Ambarella H2 SoC processor in an action camera, enabling a max bitrate of 120Mbps.
