How to Enable Disable Self-Defense in Kaspersky Anti-Virus

Kaspersky Antivirus has self defense mechanism feature which protects application settings and files against any third party interference.

According to Kaspersky Customer Care team sometimes users may need to disable this feature to remove process of tracing log files and to free the hard drive space. After disabling the self defense feature it restricts the automatic functioning by getting lower overall system performance.

STEPS:

Step 1: Settings option

  • In Kaspersky Anti-Virus open Settings option simply by tapping to the gear icon at the lower left corner of main window.

Step 2: if you getting issue while opening the application window then go with the below steps to do it in with the shortest time.

  • If the program access is already in password-protected mode then you need to enter password in Settings window icon and just next choose save password for current session check box.
  • Afterwards tap to continue icon to move further.
  • Now in Settings window icon, go to Additional section, afterwards from right frame choose Self-Defense option
  • In Self-Defense settings window area, choose or clear off “Enable Self-Defense” check box by placing a mark on it.
  • In Attention Dialog box, you are recommended to tap the Continue button.
