Following the departure of its chief marketing officer Dana Anderson in 2017, Mondelez has appointed a global chief marketing officer in the form of ex-Danone exec Martin Renaud.

Renaud's appointment brings with it a restructuring of the marketing team, with the snaking giant having appointed four new regional chief marketing officer roles to work under the new boss.

As global lead Renaud will be accountable for marketing the company’s portfolio of "power brands" like Oreo, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Milka chocolate and Trident gum.

He will oversee the teams responsible for brand strategy and agency relationships, marketing capability as well as media and digital.

In the newly-formed team, Debora Koyama will take on the role of regional chief marketing officer for Europe, joining from ABInBev where she recently was the global marketing vice-president for Stella Artois & Craft.

After two decades at the company, Jason Levine has been promoted to the role of chief marketing officer for North Amreica.
