In december last year, the us communications authority the FCC to ditch its net neutrality – i.e. the laws that says that isps must treat all internet traffic equally.
A decision is expected to come into force on 11 June.
But the decision can be lifted.
During the Wednesday night was a vote on net neutrality in the u.s. senate, where nätneutralitets-advocates won a key victory by 52 votes to 47.
the Vote was a big victory for the nätneutralitets-advocates.
But in order to really be able to rescind the FCC's decision to require a similar gain in the house of representatives – something that is very unlikely when the republicans, who traditionally oppose net neutrality, has a strong majority in the house of representatives.
