XAT 2019 Eligibility criteria
XLRI, Jamshedpur has well- defined eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria must be met by the candidates who are appearing for the state level entrance examination. The following is the XAT 2019 Eligibility criteria based on last year’s data.
- The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from the any recognized college or university. The minimum duration of the graduation degree is 3 years.
- Students who are appearing for the final year examination are also eligible to appear for the national level entrance examination. They need to complete the bachelor’s degree within the stipulated timeframe which is likely to be of July 2018.
Age limit – There is no bar of age for the examination. Age is just a number.
Eligibility criteria for NRI/ International candidate for XAT 2019 – NRI or global students are also eligible to appear for the national level entrance examination. The students from Dubai and Nepal can apply for the exam through GMAT scores. There are two international centres in the list of examination centres.
XAT 2019 Registration
XAT 2019 process is likely to begin from the third week of August 2018. Registration can be done through online. The candidates can the registration fees through online mode.
XAT 2019 Application process – Management aspirants need to visit the official website of XAT to register for the national level entrance examination. To register
- Candidates would need to provide the basic details like name and contact details.
- After entering all the details, candidates can fill The XAT 2019 admit card Application form by using the login credentials acquired at the registration. To confirm your mobile number and mail ID because it can be used as a part of communication.
- It will be compulsory for the candidates to enter the personal details, the academic details, work experience details etc. while filling up XAT 2019 Application form.
- The candidates need to upload the passport size photograph and
Signature both in scanned copies and it should within parameters given over there. (The passport size photograph should not be more than six months old and must have a white background).
- At last, you have to make payment (offline/ online).
There is a provision of late registration as well in XAT 2019 Application form. The candidates are advised to submit the XAT 2019 on time to avoid late registration and additional charges.
XAT registration fees
- The XAT 2019 Application fee is Rs 1650 (without late fee)
- An additional fee of Rs. 300 is payable by the candidates for each XLRI program (optional).
- For the window open for latecomers, the revised application fee for XAT and XLRI program is Rs. 2000 and Rs. 500 (each program) respectively.
Payment Modes– Both the payment modes, online and offline are acceptable for the convenience of the candidates. The application fee can be paid either online by Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or they can pay through cash or a DD (Demand Draft) in favour of “XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT” payable at Jamshedpur from any bank.

XAT 2019 Examination pattern
Like the previous year, XAT 2019 will also be a computer-based test (online) and the students will get 210 minutes (3.5 Hours) to solve the paper. The paper will be divided into two parts:
- Part I– Objective Type Questions
- Part II– Combination of Subjective & Objective Type Questions

Marking Scheme- Every correct answer will earn you 1 mark whereas there will be the negative marking of 1/4th mark for each wrong answer. The negative marking of 0.05 marks will also be applicable for every not-attempted question if the number goes beyond 8.

XAT Admit Card 2019
The candidates, who will successfully fill the XAT application form, will be issued admit cards that can be downloaded online. Most probably, the admit cards will be provided from the 4th week of December 2018. Candidates would need their XAT login credentials (ID and password) to log in and download their admit cards. Entry in the examination hall without admit card will be strictly prohibited. XAT 2019 admit card will carry the details like name of the candidate, DOB, and contact details along with the exam centre venue’s name and address.
Note– Admit cards can only be downloaded online from the official website. There is no other way to get XAT 2019 admit card.

XAT 2019 Answer Key
The wait for the official answer key and OMR sheet will be over in the last week January 2019. This will give an idea to the candidates about their XAT score. The candidates can judge their performance can make the estimation of call they might be from XLRI and its associated colleges.
XAT 2019 Result
The XAT 2019 Result will be announced online by XLRI in the first week of February 2019. Candidates would need to login into their XAT accounts on the official website using their XAT login credentials to check their results. Like previously, XAT 2019 result will be declared in the scorecard format; it will also carry the sectional as well as overall scores separately. Candidates will also receive the hardcopy of their XAT scorecards at their registered address, sent by XLRI, Jamshedpur. Candidates should keep their scorecards safely until the admission process wraps up.
XAT 2019 Cutoff
The most awaited cutoff for XLRI Jamshedpur will be issued once the results would be announced. Like every year, the factors that will influence the XAT 2019 cutoff will remain unchanged- a number of offered seats for a program, difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates appeared in the exam, etc. The cutoff of XAT 2019 will be issued separately by the institutes participating in XAT to offer admission into various courses. XAT 2019 Selection Procedure
The XAT 2019 selection procedure for all the participating institutes will initiate once the results and cutoff would be declared. Candidates should always remember that the selection process varies from Management College to Management College. This process involves 2 steps mainly- 1st is to shortlist the candidates o the grounds of their XAT score and cutoff of that particular institute. After that, the intelligence of shortlisted candidates would be assessed through Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Essay Writing or Group Discussion/Group Activity and Personal Interview rounds
Every institute has its own selection criterion. Some rely on the group discussion and the personal interview while some rely on the written ability test and the personal interview. But from the past years, institutes consider all the three rounds of selection. Overall profile and work experience can make a huge difference in the selection procedure.
