IFTTT supports Sonos speakers

IFTTT is a (almost) perfect service for automation and home automation enthusiasts. Today, the platform is becoming compatible with Sonos speakers.

The IFTTT service is a very powerful tool if you are looking to automate certain tasks on your phone, computer or even in your home. The good news today for users using a Sonos speaker is that the platform now officially supports the devices. IFTTT is now integrated into the Sonos Sound Platform.

IFTTT now supports Sonos speakers

According to Sonos' official announcement on its community page: "You can now ask Sonos to start your favorite radio station when your house door with a Ring lock opens when you get home, or play your pizza special song - you have a pizza special song, don't you? - as soon as your order is delivered. Are you celebrating at home? Put your lights and music in harmony with Philips Hue."

He added, "IFTTT offers millions of ways to customize your smart home with Sonos in a variety of ways. Create Applets or recipes to send orders to Snos using the'then' section of your order, also known as'action'. For Sonos users interested in automating tasks, go to the IFTTT site where you can discover some examples already in place for some of them.

It's up to you to create your own recipes!

This allows you to stop the music as soon as the Nest Protect emergency alarm goes off or trigger your Sonos when you get home, etc. These examples can also give you ideas for adapting your own recipes to your needs. If you are interested, go to the IFTTT website.
