Esports: Cheaters Spotting Guide

During the weekend, Valve had a short autumn cut of their alleged cheat list. Among the scripts and the accounts that received aban on Valve Anti Cheat (VAC) were some familiar names for those who follow pro CS:GO. Nothing less than Hovik "KQLY" Tovmassian Titan and Gordon "SF" Giry Epsilon were banned, just hours before their team came out to Dreamhack Winter in Sweden, which forced the tournament to leave teams and teams abandoning the players.

The consequences have been confusing, and just like in the announcement of Dota's party engagement last month, the effects are much wider than those involved. Even though those who have been caught for permanent "HOLIDAYS" of e-sport, persistent piracy strives for all of us. Even the moments previously defined in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Esports, as well as the incredible shot from shot USP KQLY in ESL One below. So, how are we to prevent false accusations? Or take a hacker with your hands in the code? Here are some tips to detect a cheater, and what to do if you find it.

Hacking is easy... The first thing to keep in mind is that there are many different types of hacks that are easy to install. As such, most hackers will not be very good at hiding what they are doing, which is good for you because they are easier to detect, but bad because it means that anyone can use them. The most important types you can find are divided into categories.

csgo wallhack

Wallhacks: A common accusation when a player does not see his attacker is that he shot them through a wall. There is also a hack that lets you see the player's profiles (as in the viewing mode) or the grenade paths. One of the most brazen cheats.

CSGO ESP

ESP: The trick of "ESP" gives "superpowers" to know telepathically, counting ammunition / health your opponent and whether you go or jump. You can also increase the noise levels of steps or images from a distance.
Mobility Hacks: These range from a slightly higher speed to the ability to teleport to any part of the map. You can include Noclip or "Ghosts" through solid objects and walls, but these are less common and eliminated almost entirely games that are not enabled cheat console server.

aimbot

Aimbots and triggerbots: Just like the goal automatically helped in consoles, CSGO aimbot hacks can be configured to suit a goal or improve accuracy. Triggerbots trigger as soon as the crosshair moves over a goal, "improves" reaction times in corner barriers. It may be obvious, or rather subtle.

So what should you be looking for? To be angry with someone who hacks against you repeatedly is not exactly a reason to report it to anti-cheats, but there are some ways to see if something strangers happen. The best thing you can do is verify the repetitions of a game where you were with the hacker and look through your eyes.

GOTV is not 100% accurate in its movements, so much, very subtle shooting or shooting settings become difficult to detect, but wallhacking is obvious.
Unless the hacker is capable of masking your acquired knowledge, you can see them respond to player profiles as if they could see what you see. Track a player through a wall until you reach a corner or do not touch the corners with caution, unless there is a sketch on the other side, there are pretty dead gifts. Of course, if you've completed Matrix and have started shooting people from all over the map through multiple buildings, you can go ahead and report.

If you have questions about whether he saw a movement of the cross with an unusually gentle softness directly to an opponent's head or non-human reaction times that they could have enabled them to be the fastest finger, make a security check. In leaderboard (default key "TAB") you can right-click on the suspect's name and see his CS: GO profile.
