Freeletics Successfully Raises $45 Million In Series A Funding

KoinWorks - Company financial technology finance (fintech lending), KoinWorks announced the acquisition of funding series B and series B2 S$ 18.5 million or around Rp 190 billion.

Co-Founder and CEO KoinWorks Benedicto Haryono said, the use of this investment fund will focus on the development of financial products, especially for Small and Medium enterprises (SMES).

Moreover, SMES are touted to contribute 65% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Indonesia.

“This makes the digital economy in Indonesia became the highest in Southeast Asia,” he said in a press release late last week (2/11).

He said the difficulty in obtaining financing because of the completeness of the document is less, the absence of collateral, and feasibility of the business has not been in accordance with the financial institutions conventional.

Co-Founder and Executive Chairman KoinWorks Willy Arifin added, his company focuses support easy financial services SME-based digital.

WSC Sports, a Tel Aviv-based startup developing an AI-powered video creation tool for sports content, today revealed that it recently closed a $23 million series C round led by Ofer Global’s O.G.

A raft of other investors including Intel Capital, Dan Gilbert’s Detroit Venture Partners, Elysian Park Ventures, WISE Ventures (Wilf Innovative Sports & Entertainment Ventures, the investment firm founded by Minnesota Vikings owners Mark and Zygi Wilf), 2BAngels, and iAngels also participated, bringing the company’s total raised to $39 million.

The newfound funds follow on the heels of a $12 million series B in September 2018, after a three-year period in which WSC doubled its customer base and revenue year-over-year.

More recently, the company expanded its headcount over 100 people globally and hired on advisors David Stern, commissioner emeritus of the NBA, and John Kosner, former vice president of digital media at ESPN.

Figopara, the Turkish fintech company, has announced securing $1 million in capital from its second investment round.This latest round was participated by the existing investors, Turkish angel investor Revo Capital and World Bank’s International Corporation (IFC).

Koray Gultekin and Ahmet Bilgen, the founding partners also made contributions.

This company was the electronic invoice firm Foriba.Figopara has claimed over 1000 registered users and that it has brokered more than 60.000 transactions, combined valued at 650 million Turkish liras, which is approximately $91.6 million.Figopara reported that it had brokered 80 million Turkish liras (TRY) worth of transactions in the last month.
