Bethesda has released a new trailer for Fallout 4 s Far Harbor expansion with details on new plot, enemies and locations. The new trailer lands just before the expansion release date on May 19, teasing exactly what players can expect come tomorrow. You can also gain some valuable developer insight on new characters and equipment from the DLC, and how they came to be.Far Harbor will take place in a dark, dank new location filled with swamps, rural buildings and dangerous new enemies.Far Harbor is available as part of the Fallout 4 Season Pass for £39.99 or individually at £19.99, making it far pricier than previous add-ons.The expansion will launch for PS4, Xbox One and PC tomorrow.
What that means is that all of the content from the first five expansions – The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor – has effectively been folded into the main game.World of Warcraft retails for $19.99 but you ll also need to factor in the cost of the monthly subscription.Individually, you ll pay $14.99 per month but that fee can be lowered to $13.99 each month if you purchase three months in advance $41.97 billed every three months or $12.99 monthly for a six-month subscription $77.94 billed twice a year .Legendary Pictures Warcraft movie is set to hit theaters on June 10.The next major expansion, Legion, will be released on August 30 and Blizzard is currently accepting pre-purchases.Legion will raise the game s level cap to 110 and introduce a new continent called The Broken Isles.
The next few months are looking to be good ones for Blizzard, and fans of their popular MMO, World of Warcraft. In June, Blizzard will release their first feature film, based on the franchise. Then in August, they'll be releasing the next expansion for the game, Legion. With this much excitement surrounding the game, many people will be coming back, hoping to relive some of the fun that they've had in the past.Sure, you can usually find a good deal on it, but it's still always a costly hassle to have to do.Blizzard has made a move that we've all been waiting for.
Called Rise of Iron, the poster shows the character Lord Saladin holding a large hammer/axe and standing among several wolves, in what could be one of the game's Earth locations.Assuming the poster is legit, this could be part of the promotional material we see next month at E3 when the expansion is officially announced. The image was first posted to Reddit last night, while Kotaku confirmed its authenticity and additional information about the DLC with its sources. It was already confirmed earlier this year that developer Bungie is working on a full-fledged sequel to Destiny, and that it was pushed back from a release this fall to sometime in 2017.However, it's not clear at this point if this new DLC will match the amount of content and quality-of-life improvements that we saw with last September's release of The Taken King.Hopefully an announcement at E3 will include a trailer that reveals more details on how the Iron Banner and/or Iron Lords will be the focus of the new expansion.
The launch trailer for The Witcher 3 s second and final expansion pack, Blood and Wine, has just arrived, and it looks like we'll be getting a suitably fitting farewell for one of the greatest games in recent memory.Developer CD Projekt Red says there will be 30 hours of gameplay for players to experience, making it bigger than most full-priced games. The new area of Toussaint, a country filled with bright buildings and luscious scenery, adds some welcome color to a world containing so many gray, medieval-style locations. But despite the pretty looks, there are plenty of new evils for Geralt to face, including one that looks remarkably like a Dark Souls boss.Going into specifics, Blood and Wine will have 90 new quests, 40 new points of interest, 20 new monsters, 30 new weapons, and an all-new Gwent deck.Blood and Wine is the closing and there won't be any Witcher any time soon--if there ever will be one," said CD Projekt Red s co-founder, Marcin IwinskiThe Witcher 3: Blood And Wine will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 31st.
According to the trailer, Geralt will face a variety of vicious-looking creatures including barghests, giant centipedes and seemingly vampiric beasts. The video also shows off the expansion's significant improvement to the game's graphics, which developers have previously said they wanted to "push to the limit".You can literally bring your camera up to a wall now and the textures would be crisp - at least in most cases... We just wanted to show that we can actually push it to the limit this time."CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski recently revealed that the studio does not have another Witcher release in development, nor any plans for the near future.Blood and Wine is the closing and there won't be any Witcher any time soon - if there ever will be one.Its final Blood And Wine expansion is slated for release on 31 May.
Unfortunately, where Fallout 4 is concerned, familiarity has become part of its lasting legacy.A meant-to-be-emotionally-charged offhand reference to the son I ignored for close to 40 hours and eventually shot in the main game aside, the breadcrumb trail to the expansion's island setting and its slow, gloomy boat-ride reveal is genuinely refreshing. The town's opposing faction – the returning nut-case cult the Children of Atom – fare better and the brief supernatural elements complement the island's foggy, ghoulish aesthetic. The religious group's home, a derelict submarine called The Nucleus, houses a few sympathetic residents, casting the band of misfits as more than simple indoctrinated weirdos.Aside from a notable excursion into possibly the best Fallout vault ever no really, it's almost worth the cost price alone and a few notable loot drops, there really is little to recommend about Far Harbor and that's without even dwelling on the unforgivably bad frame-rate on console when you catch even a slight glimpse of whispy fog, or the aggressively boring 'virtual reality' Minecraft-meets-tower-defence puzzle section at the mid-way point. It's more Fallout 4 for those in desperate need of further adventures in the wasteland and completing the multitude of fetch-this/kill-that side-quests brings the total run-time to at least the 10 hour mark, but the Far Harbor expansion exists as a disappointing microcosm of the core failings of its parent game, where shallow storytelling, graphical glitches and formulaic design top a list of 'it's good if you can ignore' caveats that's now too lengthy to forgive.
Rockstar Games on Friday announced a new expansion for GTA Online, the multiplayer component of the wildly successful Grand Theft Auto V. Fans of the game s online capers will be happy to learn that the new DLC will be one of the biggest and deepest updates to date.As the name suggests, Further Adventures in Finance and Felony tasks players with continuing their mission to become the ultimate crime boss of Los Santos and Blaine County.Specifically, the new DLC bumps players up the corporate ladder as they work to expand their organization and become the CEO of their own criminal enterprise.New perks include a high-rise headquarters and a non-descript warehouse, presumably to store all of your stolen merchandise.Rockstar has come under fire as of late for essentially turning its back on the single-player campaign to focus on multiplayer expansions like this.As we learned last month, Rockstar s approach on this subject is entirely strategic as the developer is making a killing off of DLC - to the tune of at least $500 million thus far.
Grand Theft Auto Online is getting its biggest expansion yet, Further Adventures in Finance and Felony, on 7 June.It will also give players the opportunity to acquire a swanky high-rise office and special warehouse properties to buy and sell contraband across the city of Los Santos.Players will have to fight off rival organizations in the criminal underworld of southern San Andreas for "access to the rarest items and biggest profits" as well as fend off the LSPD, of course."You'll be working with your team from a selection of big new properties that serve as both headquarters for your Organisation and warehouses for your hot merchandise," Rockstar explains."Manage inventory directly from your HQ, arranging to buy and sell anything from jewels to narcotics to medical supplies from a range of nefarious suppliers. The Further Adventures in Finance and Felony expansion is slated for release on 7 June with more details expected to release next week, including an official trailer.

MoreThis image released by Electronic Arts shows the new diverse characters that will be available on "The Sims 4" the latest edition of "The Sims" video game. The studio said in a statement it wanted to "make sure players can create characters they can identify with or relate to through powerful tools that give them influence over a Sims' gender, age, ethnicity, body type and more."While previous editions of "The Sims" have featured character customization restrictions based on gender, users have unofficially modified the PC game over the years to remove such barriers."The Sims 4" executive producer Rachel Franklin said in an email to The Associated Press that the developers have been working for over a year on the update. She said Maxis worked with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy group GLAAD on the update, including following a suggestion to remove gender symbols associated with characters in the game's gallery."It was a pleasure working with developers who were committed to updating the game so that all players can create a Sims world that more accurately reflects the world in which we live today."
Developer Bungie announced that it will reveal the next wave of content it has in store for its cooperative first-person shooter Destiny as part of a live-streamed event in the days leading up to the Electronic Entertainment Expo. This week at Bungie we re preparing to reveal your next adventure, the developer said on its website.Publisher Activision recently confirmed that a Destiny sequel, initially slated for release in this September, is now scheduled to launch in 2017.Recent Destiny updates have focused on tweaking existing content, rather than adding new gameplay elements.April s patch introduced new PVE challenges, increased the Light Level cap, and added a Damage Referee for the game s competitive Crucible mode. While specific release plans for the forthcoming update are not yet known, Activision may have a similar retail strategy in mind for Rise of Iron.
Like most of the planned post-launch content for The Division, it will be coming first to Xbox One for a period of 30 days.Players on Xbox One will be able to preload the new expansion on June 25"Code will be delivered starting on 25 June 2016 and you will be able to download it to your Xbox One but the game will not be playable until 00:01 on 28 June 2016," states the listing. The Division has three major expansions planned for the remainder of 2016.The first two, Underground and Survival, will be coming first to Xbox One.Last Stand, the final expansion, will not be a timed exclusive to any platform. We described the game as a hugely compelling, fiendishly addictive persistent shooter – one so good that it s getting hard to go back to straight, offline action games in our review, scoring it an impressive 8/10.
Amazon UK lists the date as 28 June, with players able to preload the expansion from 25 June.Due to an exclusivity deal between Microsoft and Ubi, the expansion launches on Xbox One 30 days before it arrives on PS4 and PC.The Division hasn't had a perfect start however.Reviews were mixed and many of the game's post-launch updates were riddled with bugs and exploits which Ubisoft then punished players for making use of.In the aftermath, gangs roam New York City hoping to seize control, so a group of sleeper agents –named: The Division – are called in.The game is an open-world shooter with RPG elements that focus on a single player or co-op play in its core mode, and player vs player interactions in its celebrated Dark Zone.
BungieBungie has officially revealed the next expansion for online sci-fi shooter Destiny.Called Rise of Iron, the expansion launches on 20 September for PS4 and Xbox One and includes a ton of new content, such as a new Earth-based location – the Plaguelands – and a new enemy type.Rise of Iron will launch with a new story campaign and quests, new armour and gear, new weapons, a new raid, new strike, a maximum light increase, new multiplayer Crucible maps and modes, and the aforementioned new enemy type, including a new boss, and new location, including a new social space.Rise of Iron will require The Taken King expansion, which launched last September – which can be bought fairly cheaply now if you get the Legendary Edition, which includes the original game and all expansions released to date.Fallen mutants now scavenge the tombs of the Golden Age, and the plague they have unearthed in the wastes is more dangerous than even they understand.Join Lord Saladin, journey to the Plaguelands, and learn the fate of the Iron Lords and stop the growing threat before it's too late."
After a long drought of information and content after the release of last year s expansion, Bungie and Activision have finally revealed the next big thing for their massively multiplayer shooter, Destiny.Unlike past expansions, this one will skip last-gen consoles and only be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.It s called Rise of Iron, and it s a new expansion in the same vein as last year s The Taken King.It ll add a new zone to the game, the frost-covered Plaguelands, as well as a new endgame raid, new story missions, a three-player Strike mission they re like dungeons , and a new enemy faction in the form of a mutated version of the game s first enemies, the insectoid scavengers called the Fallen. There will also be the usual growth for any expansion like this: new weapons, new gear, a higher level cap, etc.Rise of Iron will be out September 20 for $29.99, though you ll need to already own The Taken King and the prior two expansions along with the base game to play it.
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine ReviewPrice: £15.99Developer: CDProjekt REDPublisher: CDProjektPlatforms: PC, PS4, Xbox OneVersion Reviewed: PCIt s only taken seventeen years, but Opposing Force s reign as the best expansion pack ever made is finally at an end.Toussaint is a land ruled by chivalry and honour, where Knights-errant are genuinely paid to seek out damsels in distress and do battle with hulking giants.TweetNeedless to say, Geralt finds Toussaint's commitment to honour and courage in the face of common sense deeply amusing. The main quest too ventures into some shockingly dark territory, a tangled knot of treachery and betrayal that can all too easily unravel into terrible bloodshed depending upon your decisions. If I had one other complaint about Blood and Wine, it s that while the expansion certainly isn t short of content as a whole, I would have liked a couple more Witcher contracts.Tracking and dealing with monsters was always the most enjoyable side activity of Wild Hunt, and I would have happily exchanged a few of those question marks on the map for one or two extra contracts.
Bungie has finally revealed its Rise of Iron RoI expansion - the newest slice of Destiny DLC which is set to land on 20 September for £25.Whether you re an ex-Guardian looking for a reason to jump back into your armour, or a new player wondering what on earth I m prattling on about, here s why you should be excited:1 Hello, old friendGjallarhorn is coming back.Grown men blubbered like newborns when they were lucky enough to have the weapon drop for them, and it became a crucial item for those looking to defeat the game s biggest bosses. These Fallen look a little… altered though, with menacing mechanical enhancements and glowing red eyes which look anything but friendly.Oh, and of course, plenty more new weapons and armour to ride into battle with.It is, according to reddit, a random temporary-drop power weapon, similar to existing Hive swords and scorch cannons.
