The good news is that bundles are quickly becoming the name of the game In fact, that’s pretty much one of the main selling points for the upcoming Apple TV Plus service.

Disney Plus-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle: Price

Disney has confirmed that the price for signing up to the Disney Plus-Hulu-ESPN Plus bundle will be $12.99 a month.

Hulu is currently $5.99 a month (with ads), ESPN Plus costs $4.99 a month, and Disney is $6.99 — so you’re getting a total savings of $5.

There’s no such plan for Hulu at the moment, but ESPN Plus is available for an annual fee of $49.99, and Disney Plus will have a $69.99 yearly subscription option.

The two minds behind HBO's mega-hit turned mega-disappointment Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D.B.

Weiss, have struck a multi-year deal with Netflix, according to a report by Deadline on Wednesday.

The duo will create exclusive content for the streaming giant outside their deal with Disney to direct an upcoming Star Wars trilogy.

D, as they've come to be known, were in high demand, with media giants Netflix, Amazon and Disney all in talks to secure their services.

Netflix ultimately won out with sources telling the Hollywood Reporter the deal is worth $200 million and will include film and TV projects.

The pair had spent over 10 years at HBO, working on Game of Thrones.

Since Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, the studio has been laser-focused on two of its biggest franchises: cycling up a whole deluge of Star Wars films, and getting going on a continuation of Indiana Jones.

But now it’s working on a new project, wholly disconnected from supernatural treasure hunting or Jedi adventures.

Deadline reports Disney is moving ahead with an adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s 2018 young adult fantasy novel Children of Blood and Bone, picking up on a Fox 2000 rights acquisition that has survived the House of Mouse’s consumption of Fox and the ongoing radical cutdown of its previously planned movie slate.

Set in a world where an evil king orders the culling of Maji – practitioners of various elemental magics – Children of Blood and Bone follows a young orphaned Maji named Zélie, who sets out to bring magic back to her people and strike back against the king who subjugated them.

Kay Oyegun, best known for her work on This is Us, is currently in talks with Disney to write the adaptation, while Dope and one-time potential Flash director Rick Famuyiwa is still attached to direct.

While prior producers back under Fox’s auspices Marty Bowen, Isaac Klausner, John Fischer, and Karen Rosenfelt, as well as Famuyiwa himself, will still be onboard the Disney version of the project, the deal has apparently caught the eye of Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy according to Deadline.

The duo behind Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, have signed a nine-figure deal with Netflix to exclusively write, direct, and develop new TV series and films for the streaming platform.

According to Deadline, Benioff and Weiss were being courted by six different studios, with Netflix beating its biggest rivals, Apple, Disney, Amazon, HBO, and Comcast to win the Game of Thrones creators.

The news will likely be a huge blow to HBO, where Benioff and Weiss spent nearly ten years crafting the trail-blazing fantasy show based on the novels of George R. R. Martin, reaching unprecedented levels of popularity.

However, since Game of Thrones came to a jaw-dropping end in May, it's been revealed that a Game of Thrones prequel, called Bloodmoon, is coming to our screens in 2020 – via HBO.

So, the studio won't be saying goodbye to the franchise, even if the creators are heading on out.

For Netflix, the deal represents a huge win in the face of mounting competition from platforms like Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus, and Amazon Prime Video.

Animoca Brands has agreed to acquire Quidd, a maker of a digital collectible marketplace with 6.8 million unique users.

The purchase price is as much as $8 million.

The move is part of Animoca Brands‘ long-term effort to marry blockchain technology — the transparent and secure digital ledger — with sellable digital merchandise such as collectible characters.

By adding blockchain, Animoca Brands will be able to uniquely identify digital items, enabling true digital ownership for users and guaranteeing item rarity.

New York-based Quidd claims it has the world’s largest assortment of digital collectibles licenses and partnerships (with over 325 brands) featuring the world’s top content owners across multiple verticals – partners include Disney, Marvel, HBO (Game of Thrones), CBS (Star Trek) and NBA, among others.

To date, Quidd has issued over 2.1 billion individually-serialized digital collectibles to 6.8 million unique users, and it had an average of 208,000 monthly active users for the first half of 2019.

Weiss, who guided HBO’s hit fantasy series from its first episode all the way through its controversial finale, have signed a nine-figure deal with Netflix that will see the duo develop both TV series and feature-length films for the streaming service.

Netflix landed Benioff and Weiss after a three-month bidding war against five other companies, including Disney, HBO, and Amazon, Deadline reports.

The exact amount of money involved isn’t known, but it’s allegedly on par with the deals signed by a pair of other superstar creators, Ryan Murphy and Shonda Rhimes.

The Netflix deal seems to be the final nail in the coffin for Confederate, Benioff and Weiss’ long-gestating HBO series set in an alternate reality where the South won the Civil War and slavery never ended.

It’s less clear what this means for Benioff and Weiss’ mysterious Star Wars project, which was expected to arrive in 2022.

According to some sources, Brian Tyree Henry is joining the action thriller Bullet Train alongside Brad Pitt.Bullet Train is based on the novel Mariabeetle written by a Japanese author Kotaro Isaka.

The project already has a few great actors, including Aaron Taylor Johnson, Joey King, and Andrew Koji.Recently, according to some sources, Deadline reveals that the team has not shared much about the plot and cast details.

However, based on Henry’s past projects and his fantastic performance, it could be assumed that the casting team has something great for Henry.Brian Tyree Henry is an American actor and is best known for his character as Alfred Miles, aka “Paper Boi” in a comedy series Atlanta on Walt Disney’s FX.

The show has been running for thirteen years, whose first season was released in 2007.

He also featured as the lead characters in romantic drama If Beale Street Could Talk, heist film Widows, thriller movie Don’tLet Go, horror Child’s Play, and the superhero film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.Henry is a brilliant actor whom you could see in various genres and also on stage.

He is also a Tony Award-nominated for his Lobby Hero role for Best Featured Actor in a Play.Brian Tyree Henry started his career with various musicals and plays and gained popularity from his FX TV series.

I have been recently reading a spate of articles about the imminent demise of Twitter.

When these suitors backed off, particularly when Alphabet (which owns Google) refused to make an offer after consulting its bankers the rumours of Twitter’s demise swiftly multiplied.

Either someone is trying to pull down Twitter’s price so that they can buy into it cheap or possibly take it over, salvage it.

Or, more interesting, Twitter itself could be scorching the earth, an old strategy to put off hostile bidders they disapprove of.

This is not unlikely since the board of Twitter is reportedly split down the middle.

CEO Jack Dorsey is opposed to the idea of selling Twitter while co-founder Ev Williams wants to.
