Air Power perhaps has been one of the very few products in Apple’s history that has caused a lot of bad PR for the company.

We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to pushing the wireless experience forward”Ever since 2017, fans have been eagerly waiting for the wireless Air Power mat, at that time Apple assured its fans that they will be releasing the product in 2018.

Then came and went 2018 and no sign of Air Power was seen and finally in 2019, Apple officially killed the one of Apple’s most highly anticipated project.

The main reason for its cancellation was the engineering challenges that were faced during the project’s experimentation phase where Apple engineers saw the Air Power wireless mat suffering from overheating issues.

Interestingly, earlier in March, The Wallstreet Journal reported that Apple had given a thumbs up for Air Power to enter mass production.

However, after 550 days of announcement Apple has finally laid the project to rest.

Wheels have always been a debate among the automobile enthusiasts, and this debate seems to have no end.

Here, at Pakwheels we have tried our best to enlighten our readers with the blogs concerning the wheels, factor affecting their activity, ageing etc.

In this article, we’ll be discussing alloy, steel and carbon fibre wheels.

Steel and alloy wheels are mostly used while carbon-fibre wheels are rarely used in regular road cars. These aforementioned wheels differ from each other depending on their durability and appearance.

Now before much ado, we’ll be listing the pros and cons of these types of wheels.Alloy Rims / Alloy Wheels:ProsAlloy rims are lighter than steel wheels.Alloy wheels have better acceleration and agile performance as compare to its counterpart steel.Wheels made up of the alloy can be customised into various sizes and designs.Alloy rims are less in weight that’s why less strain on the suspension components.Better at dispersing heat away from the brake components as compared to steel wheels.ConsAlloy rims break easily as compared to steel wheels.Alloy wheels are vulnerable to cosmetic damage due to acid cleaners and saltwater corrosion.Steel Rims / Steel Wheel:ProsSteel rims are expensive than alloy wheels.Steel wheels are easy to repair.Steel wheels bite road well as compare to alloy wheels; thus, they perform better in hard weather conditions such as in snowy areas. As compare to alloy wheels greater force is needed to bend or break steel wheels. For steel wheels, cosmetic damages are not a big concern.ConsSteel rims give a low or poor performance in summers.Agility and performance of the vehicle are dampened when using steel wheels.Carbon Fibre Rims:Now, before discussing the pros and cons of carbon fibre rims let us give you some information regarding them.

They are mostly used for bicycles.
