Active Shooter Training Workshop

Considering the active shooter events across the world, active shooter training videos have been posted on the internet by defense training academies for locals.

Many agencies conduct their own active shooter training, but the training can be inconsistent. If all the employees of an agency, no matter the hierarchy level, are trained the same way, they will respond to such a situation as a team, with the same concept in mind and training at hand. It is important to make this training as real as possible.

Emergency Planning

The best type of maintenance is preventive maintenance. The emergency planning efforts will incorporate key elements of successful incident management within the active shooter training for businesses.

The business houses are responsible to train their employees on accounting for fellow employees and communicating with them, knowing the local responders and building familiarity with them, ability to co-ordinate with them before, during and after the incident takes place and integrating public affairs with incident management.

The key participants of these programs are the corporate facility security professionals from public and private sectors, homeland security personnel and supervisory first responders.

Response to the Program

Their mission is to bring more awareness to the public against criminal threats faced by our society and train the people in effective measures to counter these threats. The goal of active shooter training for individuals is to obtain a baseline reaction as a victim to an active shooter incident, retrain the instinctive reactions and counter the threat with practical solutions.

Prior to getting trained for an active shooting program, the pre-requisites of a participant are to be in good health and sign a medical waiver and liability agreement.
