Stress is closely associated with hair loss due to several external and internal factors (genetics). Angst and stress are some of the common outside factors responsible for the loss of hair.

Trichotillomania 

Trichotillomania, also referred to as hair-pulling disorder, is an emotional disorder involving the recurrent irresistible will to pull hair out of body and scalp regions. It is an anti-frustration, anxiety, solitude and stress coping mechanism.

Treatment 

It is the most common example of hair loss and stress that reduces by reducing all problems related to hair loss, both physical and mental. The only hair loss treatment thing to do is conduct therapy.

Hair loss due to alopecia areata 

The body's immune system damages your hair follicles and causes hair loss in this autoimmune disorder. It can be caused by several reasons, one of which is stress.

Treatment 

Surgical hair transplant Not appropriate for alopecia areata patients, but different steroid injections are available to cover bald spots on the head.

General ways to deal with your Stress 

  • Physical activity around nature reduces anxiety significantly.
  • Strengthening social relations.
  • Meditation.
  • Reading
  • Develop healthy eating practises.
  • A healthy lifestyle is practised.

By overcoming stress and anxiety, the hair follicles would strengthen and to a certain extent the shedding stops the close association of hair loss and stress. Active follicles replenish hair and slow recovery. The stress relief may take months to years.
