How to Setup Netgear Extender Installation Assistant

NETGEAR extender installation assistant Range Extender extends your home Wi-Fi network by connecting to existing networks and improving coverage.



The following systematic instructions will help you set up your extender easily.For new devices, we recommend using the Nighthawk app to set up your repeater.



To set it up, you have to follow only a few steps, so that your Netgear installation assistant will be done without any error.




Steps


  • Plug the extender into an electrical outlet.Wait for few min’s then the Power LED turns into light green.


  • Connect your device with extender using a simple wired Ethernet or WiFi connection.


  • To connect to a wired Ethernet connection, use the Ethernet cable to connect the Ethernet port to the extender Ethernet port on your computer or laptop.


  • To connect to WiFi, open WiFi Connection Manager on your WiFi-enabled device, search for and connect to the extender network named NETGEAR_EXT.



  • The New Extender Setup page shows.


  • Click the NEW EXTENDER SETUP button.


  • Complete the given fields on the setup page click Enter and hit the Continue button.


  • Select your Wi-Fi router’s network to extend and click the NEXT button.


  • In the Wi-Fi password field, fill in the password and click the NEXT button. Use the SSID to connect your WiFi device to your new WiFi network.


  • Make sure your device is properly connected before clicking the Next button.


  • A message appears stating that the extender is connected and ready to use..


  • Click the NEXT button for the registration page.Complete the given registration fields and clicks the FINISH button to complete the setup.
