INGREDIENTS - BEST NON-VEG RESTAURANT

  • 1 cup boiled basmati rice
  • ½ tsp mint leaves
  • Salt as required
  • 2 tbsp refined oil
  • 3 green cardamom
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • Water as required
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 600 gm chicken
  • 1 tbsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp saffron
  • 1 tbsp bay leaf
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • ½ tbsp ginger
  • 2 drops kewra
  • 1 tbsp rose water

DIRECTIONS

To craft biryani reminiscent of the best non-veg restaurant in Ahmedabad, begin by preparing saffron and kewra water. Soak saffron in water for saffron water and add drops of kewra water.

While that's in progress, heat refined oil in a pan to medium, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, green cardamom, and cloves, and sauté for about a minute.

Next, add chopped onions and sauté until pink. Once the color changes, introduce chicken, green chilies, turmeric, salt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, and green chili paste. Mix for 3-4 minutes. Add curd.

Now, incorporate garam masala, ginger, coriander, and mint leaves. Add the prepared saffron and kewra water along with rose water. Cook until the chicken is tender.

Add 1 cup of cooked rice, ensuring even distribution of masala. Drizzle saffron water and ghee over it. Cook for 15-20 minutes with a closed lid. Garnish with 1 tbsp fried onions and coriander leaves for that perfect non-veg restaurant look.

The dish is ready to be savored. Don't miss out on experiencing the exquisite taste that rivals the best non-veg restaurants in Ahmedabad.
