Toughness of plants describes their ability to survive adverse growing conditions. It’s sometimes restricted to discussions of environmental condition adversity. Therefore a plant’s ability to tolerate cold, heat, drought, flooding, or wind are generally thought of measurements of strength. Strength of plants is outlined by their native extent’s geographic location: line of longitude, latitude and elevation. These attributes are usually simplified to a strength zone. In temperate latitudes, the term most frequently describes resistance to cold, or “cold- toughness “, and is usually measured by the bottom temperature a plant will stand up to. Strength of a plant is typically divided into two categories:
