Some users have reported that after they must have updated to a newer version of Windows 10, they find that the Windows Update section is missing from the Update & Security tab – and instead, the top item on the left is Windows Defender.

If Windows 10 Check for updates button is missing in Settings, then you need to take a look at the Group Policy settings.

Press Windows key + R. In the Run dialog box type gpedit.msc and hit Enter, to launch the Local Group Policy Editor.

By selecting Disabled, it means you want to see the Settings Page.

After you must have completed this task, proceed as below to make yet another change.
