India Celebrates the Republic Day Every year on the 26th Jan From 1950 when the constitution of India came into force. Republic day in India is one of the great importance in the history as it tells us all about each and every struggle of Indian Freedom. People who were fighting for Independence of India took a pledge on the same day in 1930 at the bank of Ravi river in the Lahore to achieve a complete independence of India. Which came true a day on 25th August 1974.
At this day a great Indian Army, Indian Navy, India Air Force Parade take place which Generally starts from the Vijay Chowk and ends at India Gate and salutes the President of India on the Rajpath. Indian Army displays the power of India through the parade by demonstrating all the great inventions like tanks, Air Craft and Guns.
On 26 of January in 1950 our country was declared as a sovereign, Democratic, Secular and Socialistic. Republic means people of India has the power to govern the country themselves. It is celebrated by organizing a big event with a special parade at the Rajpath, in New Delhi in the presence of President of India by unfolding our National Flag and singing the National Anthem.
