- Download the McAfee activate the pre-install tool and save the file in the desktop or any temporary location
- Click twice the Pre-Install_Tool.exe file to execute the program and follow the on-screen instructions
- Carefully read the warning pop-up, and press “OK” to consent to the changes
- Click “OK” and then close the program
- Restart your computer after the installation of Pre-install tool is completed
Uninstall any existing program
You can remove any existing program or software by visiting the “Control Panel” Window. Go to the “Uninstall/Remove program” option and select the program you want to remove and click on “Uninstall”.
You can remove pre-installed or existing programs that may conflict with the installation process of McAfee activate via using MCPR tools. Run the McAfee Consumer Product Removal (MCPR) tool to clean up previous installations.
