If you want to do some sightseeing in St Petersburg, here is a list of the known tourist attractions in the city of sunshine:

 

  1. The Dalí (Salvador Dalí Museum)

Salvador Dalí is the world's best-known Surrealist artist. His works from the Spanish 1920's to 1930's had striking and bizarre images. The Dalí (Salvador Dalí Museum) showcases some of his paintings right in St Pete.

 2. Sunken Gardens

Located in the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood of St. Petersburg, this has acres of botanical gardens where you can enjoy classes, tours, workshopes, photo sessions and programs. This botanical paradise can also be used in field trips, weddings and special events. There are some plants and structures here that are over 100 years old.

3. Boyd Hill Nature Preserve

If you want to trail down to see lizards, birds and squirrels then you must visit Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. It is a 245-acre protected area in St Petersburg, FLorida. This also offers nature camps and rental spaces perfect for environmental studies. This is where you can find the famous Lake Maggiore Island.

 4. Sunshine Skyway Bridge

Sunshine Skyway Bridge is originally The Bob Graham Sunshine Skyway Bridge, or The Skyway simply put. It was opened in 1987 and was designed by The FIgg and Muller Engineering Group and was built by the American Bridge COmpany. The Skyway passes through Pinellas County, Hillsborough County and Manatee County and it is the longest cable-stayed concrete bridge in the world.

 5..The St. Petersburg Pier

The St. Petersburg Pier, also known as the St Pete Pier, is a known attraction site in the city of sunshine. It is a 26-acre of combined greenery and blue waters which offers lots of waterfront activities for the whole family.

 

  1. Fort de Soto Park

Fort de Soto Park is for everyone who loves the plant life, sea life, bird life and wildlife. Fort de Soto Park has five interconnected islands and is currently the largest park within the Pinellas County Park System. There are no entrance fees, enjoy fishing and nature trails plus the white sandy beaches that the park is known for.

 

  1. Morean Arts Center

719 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 United StatesMorean Arts Center is open Mondays to Saturdays, this where you can see the art works of local and international artists like Jun Kaneko, Babs Reingold, Peter Max, Jasper Johns, Allison Massari and Duncan McClellan.  This is a must-visit for some art classes, too.

 

  1. St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral was built in 1943. This is a must-see if you are into beautiful architectures.
