Realm has now confirmed the launch of its 2 scheduled affordable phones, the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro, on 24th March 2021. The company had already teased the devices and most were expecting them to be accomplished camera phones. Point to be noted that Realme highlights the 108MP camera coming to the Realme 8 Pro in press materials promoting the upcoming phone launch. The upcoming smartphones had already been confirmed including their names of the phones, clearing up any lingering ambiguity. However, there’s still no confirmation about the Pro variant is the only one that’s likely to feature the 108MP primary camera, which was recently showcased by the company. The camera of new smartphones will feature a 1/1.52-inch Samsung ISOCELL HM2 image sensor.

There’s a plethora about the upcoming phones. But, you will need to pay attention to this launch if you’re a fan of affordable smartphones or impressive camera phones. It is noteworthy that The Realme 8 is set to feature a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display (based on leaked images) and supposed to be powered by the same processor used in the Realme 7, the Helio G95 chipset. This new smartphone will reportedly have a 64MP main sensor including 3 other rear cameras. The device will sport a 5,000mAh battery and 30W fast charging (similar to the Realme 7). The smartphone is likely to come with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Realme 8 Pro is the 1st smartphone from the brand to have a 108MP camera. It will be teamed with 3 other cameras based on previous Realme handsets. There are also rumors of a 5G variant and expectations about a 120Hz high refresh rate and 65W fast charging. We are expecting there will be ultra-wide, macro, and depth, however, this hasn’t been confirmed. Some previous rumors said the Realme 8 Pro will have a Super AMOLED display and it will be the 1st budget phone in the Realme numbered series to sport an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 730G chipset. The phone is expected to run on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
