How does Fludrocortisone work for Addison’s disease

Fludrocortisone is a man-made form of a natural substance (steroid) made by the body. It is used along with other medication to treat low glucocorticoid levels caused by Addison's disease. Take this medicine with or without food, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. Many people using this medicine do not have serious side effects, but headache, stomach upset and anxiety may occur, if any of these effects persist contact your doctor immediately. Before taking Fludrocortisone, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or if you have any other allergies.
