How to write CV Profile?

A CV Profile is a short paragraph that describes who you are, what you do, and why the employer should contact you. A CV Profile can also serve as an overview of your experience and skills, which is especially helpful if the position requires skills not listed on your CV.

To write your own CV Profile, start by writing a sentence about yourself. For example:


I am a hardworking individual with high ambitions and enthusiasm for learning new skills. I am familiar with the American Health Care System and have experience as an office manager.


At this point, you just made your first sentence. Now think about which of these characteristics you want to focus on:
Skills: Is it important to list all of your skills? No. Rank them by importance. As you read through the job description, can you think of anything that gives you a competitive edge over other candidates? List those things as your skills.

How will they benefit the employer?

Be specific: If you learned a new skill in school, say what the class was and what the skill is (e.g. write an essay to a specific purpose).
Include any information that helps sell yourself: Be sure to state your accomplishments (e.g. I was able to cut expenses 20% because of my good relationship with vendors).

I went back to school and attained my degree in Office Management. I have a very strong work ethic and I'm passionate about learning new skills.

I am capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously while keeping up with details and deadlines. I enjoy working in an environment where there is always something new to learn.
I can turn my hand to whatever administrative task is required, from simple data entry to arranging complex budgets. I am a fast learner with a proven track record for turning companies into leaner, more efficient operations.

Tips to write best cv profile:

  1. Have a good command of the English language. The CV profile is supposed to be written in your own words, which means it has to sound "natural". Don't write down if you have a degree in business administration; say you have a degree in Business Administration... and don't abbreviate or abbreviate unnecessarily—it's easy to see when you do and it makes the document look unprofessional
  2. Keep it concise. You have three minutes to write your profile, and a good rule of thumb is 1,000 words for one page. Employers typically prefer shorter profiles, but if you want to go longer it's fine
  3. Use action words. Don't just say you are a manager; talk about how you plan on leading the company
  4. Be sure to include some personal details about yourself too, such as your hobbies, interests and any languages you speak fluently. If you have any special training or accreditations then make a note of those too.
