Rupin Pass trek is a high-altitude trek that starts from Dhaula in Uttarakhand and ends at Sangla. Spread at about 52 kms it takes you on a journey full of wondrous surprises every hour For 8 rip-roaring days. This majestic trek takes you from Uttarakhand to Himachal, making you pass through states on foot.

Towering at about 15250 feet, Rupin Pass is considered one of the high range treks for Trekking in India. The high altitude is not just the sole  reason for its popularity among trekkers, the diversified number of sceneries and sudden variation in trails also attracts many nature lovers.

Rupin Pass will take you through phases of snowy, rocky trails, along and through water streams and meadows. Along the way, there are white Rhododendrons and an expanse of green meadows. Rupin pass is unique in a manner that the ice melting on the only facet of the pass forms the Rupin river that merges with the Yamuna and finally flows into the Bay of Bengal while the snow melting at the Sangla facet of the pass merges right into a stream the eventually flows into Sutlej and at last flows into the Arabian sea.

This trek holds for you some exquisite surprises at every turn that makes sure the experience doesn't lose its thrill at any moment. You will encounter multiple waterfalls and streams throughout the trek. Hundreds of waterfalls flow down together from such a height that it almost seems as if they are falling straight from the sky, this is the most jaw-dropping waterfall you’ll get to witness. You’ll pass the beautiful Jhaka village on the way which is also called Hanging village because it’s uniquely positioned at the utmost edge of the mountain in such a way that it appears to be hanging through the cliff.

Lush green forests of fir, Rhododendron & Oak will bless your eyes several times during the trek, which starts and ends so suddenly that it feels like a movie set up. Take some time off and visit Kinnaur temple which is a two-storey temple of Kinnauri culture at Sewa. 

You will start trekking your route from greener and hot landscapes and move towards and through the coldest of areas over the snow as you reach the end, making Rupin pass a trek of its kind.
