- JavaScript is a programming language that has become more and more popular in recent years. It's used to add interactivity and enhancements to websites like Facebook, Google Maps, Gmail, etc. If you want to know how to learn JavaScript so you can get a job as a web developer or just do some cool things on your own time, this post will help! We'll cover for learning the basics of from square one all the way up to advanced topics. - A lot of programmers I know started out by using Codecademy , which makes it really easy for people who have never programmed before (or even had any exposure at all) start coding Javascript . You'll see some parts where we use HTML/CSS too if you aren't. -

The first step should probably be familiarizing yourself with the language. As you learn JS, continue to refer back to this guide so that it's easier for you as time goes on! It might seem overwhelming at first but stick with it and I promise there'll come a point where you're actually writing JavaScript programs without even thinking about. methods not mentioned here. - You can start learning by going through Codecademy . This website will introduce javascript concepts like variables,

- If you don't know any HTML or CSS, Codecademy is a great starting point. It's a free website that gives you the basics of both coding languages and will help with Javascript as well since it uses those two to demonstrate concepts in code form.

- Don't feel like going through courses on Codecademy? There are lots of other websites out there that can do similar things! Here's another list from Wappler . Like I said before, using these sites together can really help build off one another if someone wants to ramp up their knowledge even faster than usual.. You'll see some parts where we use HTML/CSS too if you aren't familiar with those yet either. Once again though, this. -

For example, freeCodeCamp covers a lot of the same Javascript principles but does it mostly through actual coding problems. This is great if you're more into an interactive learning style and want to be able to check your work as you go along!

- If you don't know any HTML or CSS at all yet, Codecademy 's intro courses are awesome for getting used to those too. Like I said before, using these sites together can really help build off one another if someone wants to ramp up their knowledge even faster than usual.. You'll see some parts where we use HTML/CSS too if you aren't familiar with those yet either. Once again though, this will actually give new programmers of practice in both languages .
