Make Your Home Cozy With A Gas Fireplace

We decided to transform a wood-burning fireplace into a gas-burning one this winter. This created a warm, cozy space in our living room that we didn't know we needed. It makes a huge difference in our home.

There are many choices when it comes to Gas Log Fireplace. Here's a guide to help you get started.

What is a Gas Fireplace?

A gas fireplace can be interpreted in one of three ways.

Freestanding logs are a unit of logs that can fit in a wood-burning fireplace. The gas line that runs to the logs is connected to the gas. The resulting open flame looks much like a wood-burning fireplace. There is no screen or fireplace to protect the flames.

Gas insert: This gas insert converts an existing wood-burning fireplace into a gas-powered one-box unit. The box is vented up to the chimney. To prevent the flame from escaping, the box houses the entire flame. It also has a screen and a glass pane at the front. Many inserts include fans that heat the room and add realism.

Built-in gas fireplaces: Can be used as either a decorative insert or a freestanding fireplace. In Built gas Heaters and fireplaces can be used in spaces without a chimney or fireplace. Built-in fireplaces can be vented through exterior walls in most cases. Non-vented gas fireplaces are prohibited in many states. They can cause indoor air pollution.

Gas Fireplace Benefits:

·        My biggest advantage is not having to cut wood or purchase logs. Also, there are no ashes to clean up.

·        A gas fireplace needs no tending. A simple annual inspection is all that is required for maintenance.

·        Natural gas and propane can be used to power products.

·        There is no need for a chimney - gas fireplaces can be installed in any space of your home.

·        You control heat output. You can adjust the heat output of your model by using a remote control or switch.

·        Choose the best gas product with the best features for your space.

The first step in choosing the right product is to measure your space and determine how many square feet of heat you will need. A professional can help you validate your selections and ensure that the product is capable of providing enough heat. Professionals should be able share objective consumer feedback. Our salesperson was able to steer us away from a model that I liked but didn't have a standard fan. This was perfect for our living area.

The outer face design is the most important aspect of your shopping list. When choosing a face, think about your home. There are many designs to choose from, including modern, traditional, rustic, and contemporary. You can also find many products in different colors such as black, bronze, and matte charcoal (like mine). Freestanding models may offer more options. We saw a beautiful red gas fireplace in our local Fireplace Fashions showroom. These are the best.

Visit a local showroom to be amazed at the range of gas fireplace designs and features. Take a look at the following features and compare your options.

Brick interior design - It can be a variety of brick and stone colors

The visual style of your fireplace is affected by the logs, coals, and other materials. Some logs look more like driftwood, which is great for coastal aesthetics. Ours looks more traditional with faux-wood logs covered in bark.

Remote controls or wall-thermostat. The remote features childproofing.

Adjustment of variable-flame height

You have the option to choose from a variety of fan speeds (the fans are not always what you expect!) The room heats slowly even when the fan isn't running. However, the fan speeds that are built into our model allow for heat to circulate more efficiently.

LED lighting to create realistic effects. The subtle lighting makes the coals and embers appear so real. Some models have better lighting than others. However, before you jump to any conclusions, let the showroom models run for 5-10 mins while the LED light adjusts to maximum power.

Electronic ignition vs. pilot light. Some models may have small or disguised pilot lights. Ours is visible from all sides and is always visible.

Backup battery. This allows you to light the fireplace even if there is no power.

Vent-free system with two pipes vs. 2-pipe venting system. To knowmore please visit us here.
