I've already got in and i already goofed up one snake didn't have so much time in that one but it was still you know kind of heartbreaking that i did it and like i said before the only reason i'm cutting towards my thumb is because i have that stop right there and i'm not taking big big chunks out thinking pretty small thin slivers out just to kind of keep everything flat Walking Cane not worried too much worried about what the sides look like because most of that's going to be gone anyway one round off for the snake but uh i don't want to try to make everything as even as i can see i'm going by guessing by gosh here oops that was almost too much of a cut but i can see as i'm going through here that i have left some humps so it's probably a good thing that i'm going through it i'm sure as i get better at it i won't have to double check things so much but right now i'm doing what i think i need to do to make this as good as i can put it that way but uh you know like here i can see that this is low and this is way high.
So I want to keep it as good as I can and one thing I did boy this one's really one thing I did find out earlier was and that was on the tail and I do a lot of the spraying with water and alcohol but um I found out that if you spray the smaller areas too much they get so soaked with water and alcohol that they get really really soft and when they get really really soft they break off I already did it on the trail was this long and now it's this long so you know this isn't a chunk but I had to cut it back down because the top snapped off and I think it was because I had it too wet you know just my own fault live and learn as Bigfoot Cane they say okay I’m gonna turn the camera back off and I’m gonna try to figure out how to get the thing rolled over and I guess I might be too much of a perfectionist.
I don't know just seems like things have to be just so okay I’m gonna I think I got that pretty good now I’m gonna see about rolling this over and I’ve done a little more work at the top here but I am really struggling with this up here because I am so I can't I don't know it just very awkward for me up here on this so I think I’m gonna let that dry I had sprayed it with water to help me cut but I think I’m gonna let that dry and I’m gonna do all Dremel work up here just because just cuz okay well let me get back at you in a little bit well I’m having trouble with the blending of the snake I really don't think I’ve got it deep enough and you know enough body of the snake to you know kind of roll it, you know it's wide here and narrow here but if I cut much deeper into this I’m not going to have any strength left so.
If I screw up I can make more and I can save it for other projects so let's see if I can't turn all of this stuff here into a cake so I took some old pine that I had just to cut out a sample to see if it's gonna be a good size handle because I'd hate to do it all on the Dynamo Walking Cane purple hardwood and find out that it's not going to work this is actually the second one that I've made its the rough shape I just kind of took it to my belt sander to take off the edges too to see so I like the feel of that I'm going to go ahead and use this as a template try a little something different here there's a hole the bottom of my drill press so I stuck the cane chapt right through the hole and onto the solid base we'll see if that holds it steady enough for him I so I'm kind of disappointed I ordered an SD card online for cheap don't do that trust me I've been using that in my camera and it's caught probably fifty-three minutes worth of stuff.
But had plenty of space still on this 64 gig card and then everything that I started shooting after I sanded the handle there's no longer there so what you missed was me making a stain with acrylic paint and water just watered down the paint I was able to make the stain I stained the shaft and then you also missed me putting two coats of clear on it so I just used satin spray clear put two coats of clear on it you've also missed me giving my outro so I'm now giving my Hindi Metro so I had bought these remember and it was just too big and I don't have time right now to make anything that does it Bigfoot Cane fit on the here to flare out and fit in here but what I did find and you could probably find this at Goodwill too is in my garage just up in the rafters I had an old pair of crutches.
And I'll tell you this little thing right here is way bigger than that and I think that's gonna of course be a better stabilizer but it fits just perfectly snug right here on the bottom so I'm much happier with that instead so I'll shoot it here and I think because of that bottom it's able to kind of stand up on its own nice catch it'll knock over easy it's not designed to make stand on its own but it's you know wearing slippers so anyways that's how it turned out it's a nice color again I'm waiting for the handle the Purple Heart would to oxidize and turn purple before we clear-cut on that but it's a nice handle it's smooth fit and I've got the old one maybe I'll draw this up and I'll post it online if anyone wants one of these let me know in the comments and I'll be sure to do that so this came going across country to mean anyways I hope maybe this helps anyone out there who's looking to make a cane no lathe cane for yourself or a loved one row or sell and make I'll let you know how this goes.
I'm very careful very careful to go right down the center of that and I'm gonna need me very carefully be right directly level and go through this side going through the same hole all right I'm going to drill a hole right up here and that's where the end of the 550 cord will go so that it won't it won't actually slip and slide it's actually going to terminate right here with a knot so I need to drill a little hole to make that happen actually probably need to measure Dynamo Walking Cane here first 12 right so it needs to be right there it's a good thing that I measured okay because this is where the wrap should start Wood is a little slick hard to get this thing started perfectly all right that would be the hole for the 550 cord and what I'm gonna do is I'm going to countersink one side because I'm I'm just gonna tie a knot in the very end of that 550 cord so I'm gonna put a little bit of a countersink to it the use of this countersink and that way the knot is basically inside the wood and it's not sticking out there we go and that should hide the not real well.
Where it terminates alright I'm gonna pre-drill this hole here so that the hook can go straight in once again it's kind of slick wood so it's hard to get it started you can't actually start this with a smaller drill bit drill yourself in the hand so it only has to be thought that far is good enough that's about an inch and a quarter oh yeah that's beautiful what I'm gonna do is put a little wd-40 in here and that will actually prevent any if moisture gets in here it'll prevent it from getting in and doing a number on the wood and just makes the this can went a little bit easier as well if it gets too hard to put in you might need to get a screwdriver and put it inside this to get it to go a little bit further it looks like it's going pretty easily by hand.
So I'm not gonna have to use that and I am right at the end that's looking good all right now it's time to mix up some five-minute epoxy and I'm gonna mix it directly into the 3/4 inch cap these are nice because it gives an equal amount of both ingredients so that it is a good of course if you get it Bigfoot Cane on backwards it could glue the tip to it but so I have a donor stick and I'm just going to mix it up inside here no huge rush because you got 5 minutes but you want to make sure that it's good and mixed so their dry is good and hard and you could even slather it up the edges too cuz well this is gonna be the bottom the foot of the stab to help protect it from their terrain rocks or whatever that just goes right on there like that now I'll tip it up the other way so it doesn't start leaking out there we go we'll just let that dry and that should be good to go all right so I got a bunch of band-aids and got some fishing hooks.
To properly fit, first place the tip of the Dynamo Walking Canes against the side of foot.
Keep adjusting until you get it correct.
To practice the correct pattern, stand still and move the cane and the involved side together.
When you dance, you move with your partner.
The Walking Cane and the involved side are partners, so they always have to move together.
