What to do before a PDO Thread Lift

avatar
John Smith

With no surgery required, PDO thread lifts are rapidly becoming a popular anti-ageing solution to help lift sagging skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

The procedure involves inserting threads under the skin using a micro-needle or cannula. The threads are placed in a mesh-like pattern to help encourage collagen production, which may help tighten and thicken the skin.

Patients are encouraged to go to their treatment fresh-faced as all makeup and products need to be removed before inserting the threads. If you are sick or have any active skin infections including acne or cold sores, your treatment may not be able to be administered.

Some medications and supplements may increase bruising, 24 hours before treatment patients are encouraged to avoid:

  • Vitamins C
  • Vitamins E
  • Alcohol
  • Aspirin
  • Ibuprofen
  • Fish oils

For more information on what to avoid before treatment and what you should do, you may wish to contact a PDO thread lift clinic.
