Error 9999 is a script error that can block your internet connection of your bank and QuickBooks Online. When this error happens the system hangs, or responds slowly or just stops working. Fixing QuickBooks Banking Error 9999

  1. The first thing to do is click on “Updates” and run it three times to see the results. Often this helps in fixing the issue but if it doesn’t get resolved then follow the below mentioned processes.
  2. Clearing cache is another way to fix it. In many instances you have an error related to the bank feed or broken feed. So, remove cache and check out the result.
  3. Disconnecting and reconnecting the feed many a times solves the issue. However, ensure that the ‘For Review’ list is completely clear.
  4. When you disconnect the feed there shouldn’t be any transaction listed in the list. For this go to the “Bank & Credit Card checking” option which is my mistake connected and then click on “Edit Account Info“. Once done check the option of “Disconnect this Account” and then click on “Save” and “Close” button.
  5. Logging into your bank account site directly in a different window or tab actually fixes the problem. Often the bank updates the security settings and at times you need to update personal account security settings or just need reconnecting with your bank.
