A US-based company has built a bulletproof Aston Martin Vantage

AddArmor, a US-based business, has presented its latest creation: a completely armored Aston Martin Vantage.

The V8-powered Aston Martin is outfitted with the company's 'B4' degree of security, which includes bulletproof glass, tougher doors, a blast-resistant reinforced steel roof, and a shield covering the fuel tank.

There's also an armored firewall, and everything is composed of 'composite' materials from the corporation. You also get a pair of run-flat tyres "to assist make any challenging scenario much simpler to escape from."

Tamper-proof exhaust covers – so that "foreign items cannot be inserted" – and "shock door handles" to prevent entrance are among the other armoured embellishments.

"Incorporating our lightweight armouring on this Vantage was of the utmost importance to us because speed is an incredibly valuable asset in dangerous situations out on the open road,” explains AddArmor – and former US Special Ops veteran – Pete Blaber.

A 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 503 horsepower (375 kilowatts) and 505 pound-feet (685 Newton-meters) in the basic version of the newest Vantage. The only transmission option is an eight-speed automatic. According to the manufacturer's specifications, it accelerates to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 3.6 seconds. The added weight of the armor and other modifications would almost certainly result in a slower speed for the AddArmor-modified version.
