Fashion Trends Of 2022 – The Post Covid Fashion Resurrection

Following the bizarreness of 2020-2021 fashion trends –2022 is predicted to bring some refreshing changes you’ll like to hear.

For the last sixty years, the ‘latest’ fashion trends were gathered from runways and fashion magazines.

Nowadays, it's social media and celebrities dictating and showcasing what’s cool and recent in fashion.

Simone Selkirk Label noted that the style trends of 2021 were not particularly inspiring given there was no where to go to be seen in any latest fashion given we were all in Lockdown!.

But today Simone Selkirk Label is seeing the 2021 fashion trends being with more inspiring fashion trends being promoted and social media-driven digital trends inspiring us out of the depths of quarantine.

Compared to the neutral appearance of 2021, this year showcases fresher and bolder fashion appearances, partially driven by a necessity to come back back to ‘a traditional life’ and partially influenced by the TikTok fashion culture.

To some extent, this year’s designs match the 90s fashion trends with the sense of mimicking the silhouettes and patterns of these seasons.

However, there’s one massive difference; now, classic designs are reinvented in outsized and loud coloured attire and streetwear designs.

“The extensive COVID-19 lockdown acted as a catalytic force to the highly creative online communities and internet subcultures, giving birth to previously unseed styles and combinations” explains Anna Wintour, Artistic Director of Vogue.

Simone Selkirk Label is seeing that because the landscape keeps dynamically morphing, staying up with the newest fashion trends is overriding the post-COVID era and hard to keep up with.

Without any delay, these are a handful of current fashion trends of 2021-2022.

Stylish, innovative, affordable, and simple to drag off the coat hangers.

Here is how to look the part this year.

Crochets

AS SEEN AT:

Dolce and Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Anna Kosturova, Helen Rodel, Katie Jones Knit, Lisa Maree, Alanui, Dion Lee

Crochet sets and squares are the measure, arguably, a processing fashion trend set up by Harry Styles and his pop-culture hit song “Watermelon Sugar” video.

The clip features a bunch of revelers on the beach, eating fruits clad in an in depth array of brilliantly coloured crochets, vintage-printed swim, and resort wear.

Hoodies

AS SEEN AT:

Off White, Gucci, Stussy, Noah NYC, Awake NY, Palace

One of the foremost widespread designs rocking this fashion trend is that the ever-so cozy hoodie – but, worn with a twist.

Wearing a sports coat with a hoodie isn't any longer simply another street vogue cut, however it is a look that transcends generations.

Wearing a quarantine staple-piece hoodies adds an additional rhetorical layer to your overall look.

Look for a slim, tapered hoody — ideally a darker, solid hue, while not an excessive amount of embroidery or graphics.

Pair it with a dark, solid sports coat. Simone Selkirk Label pairs Hoodies with Slacks or denim to jazz the look up — either can work depending on the occasion.
