Punjab health and family welfare minister Vijay Singla on Wednesday directed the civil surgeons of the state to rationalise the department employees deputed in districts to ensure quality healthcare services till new recruitments are made.
Presiding over his maiden meeting of all civil surgeons, Vijay Singla said the state government is committed to providing quality healthcare facilities to the people and asked the civil surgeons to ensure timely attendance of the officers and other staff so that no patient or his relative face any difficulty.
“Civil surgeons should furnish lists of required medicines in hospitals to the headquarters at the earliest, so that all medicines could be made available to the people through the government dispensaries,” he said while directing that efforts for further enhancement of institutional delivery in government hospitals should be made besides increasing
antenatal check-up registration of pregnant ladies and make arrangements for safe delivery of high-risk pregnant women
