What is Hajj

A visit to the sacred city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia, which each grown-up Muslim should do to some extent once in his life. Hajj is the fifth of the basic methods and institutions of Muslims which is known as the five pillars of Islam. The Hajj begins on the 7th day of Dhu Al-Hijjah (the last month of the Islamic year) and ends on the 12th day.

The hajj is essential for all of them who are physically and financially able to make the pilgrimage. Muslims Perform Hajj by getting Hajj Package from a Travel Agency.

In the state of ihram, a sacred state in which Muslims must enter for Hajj, engaging in sexual activity, arguing, engaging in violence, cutting hair and nails are forbidden. Given the religious significance of the state, Muslims should always remain calm in ihram, even when they are tired of travelling.

Adam Mohammed, who left England for Mecca on foot for Hajj in August, recently arrived in Silveri, northwestern Turkey in search of what has now been dubbed the "Journey of Peace". Some drivers on the road supported Muhammad, who is now with a stray dog who befriended him in Serbia.

The British citizen of Iraqi descent left England for Mecca on foot in August 2021, a journey he had begun with the goal of "going out against all evil." Continuing their walk on the Silivri section of the D-100 Highway, some drivers supported Muhammad by pushing his three-wheeled street vendor's cart.

With his beloved companion, Muhammad aims to reach Saudi Arabia via Syria and then Jordan, 35 days after passing through Turkey during the Hajj.

For reaching Mecca in July, Mohammed passed from Istanbul, Izmit, Yalova, Bursa, Eskişehir, Burdur, Antalya, Mersin and Hatay to Syria.

Mohammed spoke to a representative of the Anadolu Agency (AA) about his journey to the Holy Land.

Explaining that he is an Iraqi who has lived in England for 25 years, Mohammed said: "I started my journey on August 1 last year. I hope I will arrange it for my next visit on time I hope the whole journey continues. A loud voice came to me saying that I could walk from my house to Mecca. I could not ignore that voice. It was a volcano inside me. It was burning. " He explained.

Expressing his appreciation for President Recep Tayyip Erdoانan, Mohammed said: "I would like to meet him when I come to Istanbul. I hope he will make time for me."

Mohammad added that he prepared for the trip for two months and was assisted by a British organization.

Muhammad is not the first person to come to Mecca on foot from Britain. Farid Feyadi, a British citizen, made a similar trip from London in 2020 to dispel misconceptions about Islam in the Western media.

The devoted guy trip has drawn widespread attention in Turkey. Saying that he saw the story on the internet and then decided to go with Muhammad, a local man named Metin Ulukoç has been helping a long-distance traveller for two days.

Another Turkish citizen named Mehmet Dikme, meanwhile, also offered support to Muhammed on his Peace Journey in the stretch between the cities of Tekirdağ and Istanbul.
