Learnr is a mobile application that helps you to view, compare and book driving instructors directly from your smartphone. Once you have downloaded the app, a simple postcode search will show you all available driving instructors in your area. All you need to do is pick your favourite one!
Enter your pickup location in the Learnr App then tap on ‘Search Instructors’ to view all available driving instructors in your local area. We’ll only ever show you driving instructors that cover your area and have availability to book
How do I change my instructor?
You can change your driving instructor at any time. Send us an email at [email protected] or call us at 020 4538 4063 to let us know that you’d like to switch instructors. We will promptly refund any unused lessons as credits within the Learnr App to enable you to find & book another driving instructor.
How do I cancel a lesson?
Simply click on ‘cancel lesson’ within the Learnr App. If your request happens more than 24 hours before your driving lesson is scheduled to take place, you’ll be given a full refund as credits within the app. If you decide to cancel within 24 hours of the lesson taking place, you may not be eligible to receive a refund. If this happens, give us a call on 020 4538 4063 to discuss your options.
How do I get in touch with my instructor?
Should you need to get in touch with your driving instructor then please email us at [email protected] or call us directly on 020 4538 4063 to discuss your query. We will either process your request or put you in touch with your driving instructor.
Can I change my pickup point once the lesson’s booked?
If it’s more than 24 hours until your scheduled lesson time, you can cancel your lesson through the Learnr App and make another booking with the updated pick up point. If your request is within 24 hours of your booking, this may not be possible as driving Instructors typically plan their day based on the various pickup points for the day ahead. Can I learn to drive in my own car?
Of course! Although it will depend on the preferences of your chosen driving instructor. It is quite common that a driving instructor might prefer you to start learning to drive in their car to ensure yours and their safety through the use of dual controls. Once a driving instructor deems that your driving is safe enough they may be happy to teach you in your own car. Can I learn to drive in an automatic car?
Of course! We have Driving Instructors on the Learnr App that will accommodate manual and automatic gearbox types. Once you have searched for instructors on the Learnr App, you’ll be able to refine your results by gearbox type.
Are your driving instructors DVSA-Approved?
Absolutely, we make sure that all driving instructors on the Learnr App instruct to a high standard and meet all legal requirements to provide driving lessons. It is a requirement for any driving instructor on the Learnr platform to provide their approved driving instructor certificate (as provided by the DVLA), proof of insurance & CRB check.
I have been struggling to find a driving instructor, why do instructors on the Learnr App have immediate availability?
Driving instructors are currently in high demand due to a number of reasons but mainly due to the driving test backlog caused by Covid-19. This has caused a large number of driving instructors to have long waiting lists for accepting new pupils. However, there are always driving instructors that have immediate availability based on their own circumstances. To save you time, the Learnr App will only show you driving instructors that are available to book. Fully booked or unavailable driving instructors will not show up on the Learnr App.
