Donis David Barksdale, the father of Ronnie Barksdale, was born in the Mississippi town of Sallis, Charlie Barksdale, and Virginia, is the 10th of 13 children. His circle of relatives relocated to Chicago, Illinois, in 1957.

What did he do during his thieving career?
Barksdale became a well-known gang leader three years after moving to Chicago. In 1972, the Barksdale gang absorbed a few others and became called the "Kingdom of Black Disciples." There became accelerated anxiety among different bands, consisting of Black Stone Rangers and Black Disciples
Eugene Hairston, the head of a Black P Stone Nation, directed Barksdale to be killed in 1968, resulting in seven images in his car in May of that year.
One night in June 1970, Barksdale's father, Ronnie Barksdale, was shot in the stomach, leaving a bar in the Inglewood area. However, he survived simultaneously as Helston went to prison and finally attempted to arrange membership and was killed.
Barksdale finally was given bored stiff with bloodshed and, in 1973, proposed to enrol in forces with gang chief Larry Hoover. Hoover commonplace the proposal, and the Gangsterland became born. In his lifetime, Barksdale was arrested 25 times. However, he was in no way convicted of a severe crime. During his arrest, the father of Ronnie Barksdale used the pseudonym "David Jones" numerous times.
When and the way did he die?
Barksdale was killed in a couple of ammunition accidents after a June 1970 assault wherein Barksdale was killed via way of means of a member of the Black P Stone Ranger armed with an M14 rifle close to the bar on September 2, 1974. The assassination ended the ceasefire at that time.
His three sons survived him. David, Melinda, Ronnie Barksdale (certainly considered one among whom was killed via way of means of a member of the Gangster Disciples in 1996) and his spouse Yvonne Barksdale (previously Yarber), three years later, in June 1977.
