Orbi Satellite Colors All 5 Colors & Troubleshooting!

If you're having trouble with your Orbi router, one of the first things to check is the color of the light. Each light color has a specific meaning and can help you solve any problems you may be having. In this guide, we will discuss the meaning of each light color and how to solve common problems.

Orbi router colors – What are the Orbi light colors mean

·        Flashing white light: The router is starting up or someone pressed the button to restart it.

·         Off: The router has completed the boot process and is now functioning as it should.

·        Solid white light - The router is returning to its original settings.

·        Purple light: The router cannot connect to the Internet. This could be because you don't have the correct settings or because you don't have an internet connection.

orbi lights meaning :

·        Flashing white light: the satellite is starting up.

·        Blue light: The router and the Orbi satellite have connected successfully and the connection between the router and the satellite is good.

·        Orange light: The router and the Orbi satellite have successfully connected and the link between them is acceptable.

·        Purple light: The Orbi router and satellite were unable to connect. Off: You have synchronized the satellite with the router and it works as it should.

Flashing white Orbi router

The first thing to do when you see the Orbi light flashing white is to check and see if the router is starting up. If it is yes, then there is no need to worry. However, if the router has been turned off for a while, it may try to connect to the Internet. You want the white light on the Orbi router to flash and then the LED to turn off.

Solid white light Orbi router

Orbi router with solid white light A solid white light on the Orbi router usually indicates that the router is returning to its original factory settings. If you're having trouble with your Orbi router, you should try resetting it to factory settings. To factory reset the router, use a paper clip to hold down the Reset button on the back of the router for at least 7 seconds. The power LED on the router will turn orange after the Orbi factory reset is complete.

Purple light from the Orbi router

A purple light on the Orbi router usually means the router cannot connect to the internet. This can be caused by a number of things, such as incorrect settings or a lack of an internet connection. If you see a purple light on your Orbi router, you need to check your internet connection and make sure all settings are correct.

Green light from the Orbi router

A solid green light on the power button LED on the Orbi satellite means it has turned on properly. You should see the green light as soon as you plug the satellite into the power outlet. If not, try pressing the power button at the bottom of the back of the satellite. If you still don't see the green power button LED, your power outlet is probably not working. Check if the breaker has tripped.

Blue light from the Orbi router

A solid blue light on the Orbi Satellite Sync LED Ring for 90-180 seconds indicates that the connection between the Orbi router and the satellite is good. Blue light is the light you want to see after setting up your Orbi satellite. Everything is connected and working fine! If you don't see a blue or orange (amber) sync LED, you should:

·        Press the sync button on the back of the router.

·        b. After two minutes, press the Sync button on the back of the satellite.

·        C. Wait for some minutes for the LED to turn blue or amber.

Orange light from the Orbi router

A solid orange (amber) light on the Orbi satellite's Sync LED ring for 90-180 seconds means that the connection between the Orbi router and the satellite is good. You can still use your satellite when the sync LED is orange (amber), it just won't be that effective. Consider moving the Orbi satellite closer to the Orbi router. A solid orange (amber) light on the power button LED indicates that the Orbi router and Orbi satellite are restarting.

Red (magenta) light from the Orbi router

A solid red (magenta) light on the Orbi Satellite's sync LED ring means it can't get an IP address from the router or it can't sync with the router. You may need to repeat the installation process. But before you do that, bring the satellite closer to the Orbi router and see if the red (magenta) light goes out.

Orbi satellite not connecting

·        If the Orbi satellite does not connect to the Orbi router, the first thing to do is to move the satellite to the same room as the router during the pairing process. Place the satellite in the same room as the Orbi router.. Simply use this satellite position during the synchronization process. Once connected, you can move the satellite to its permanent position.

·        Plug the satellite into a wall socket.

·        Wait for the satellite LED to show solid white or red (magenta) light.

·        Press the Sync button on the router, then within two minutes, press the Sync button button on the satellite.

·        Wait for the satellite to turn on. The satellite LED blinks white while attempting to synchronize with the router. After the LED flashes white, it lights up in one of the following colors:

·         Blue: The Orbi router and satellite have successfully synchronized and connected between router and satellite is good.

·        Orange (amber): The router and the Orbi satellite have not been synchronized. Try repeating step 4 again. If syncing still fails, try moving the satellite to a different location closer to the router.

·         Move the satellite to a new location.

·        In the new location, check the satellite LED and make sure it glows blue. If the satellite LED lights up blue, the satellite is synchronized correctly. If the satellite LED lights up orange (amber), move the satellite closer to the router and try again. The satellite must be within range of the router's WiFi coverage area for a good connection to the router.

Conclusion

There are five different colors of the Orbi satellites: green, white, blue, orange (amber) and red (magenta), each representing a different satellite state. If you are still facing same problem then visit orbilogin.com
