How to Have the Perfect Beach Day

Your vacation is almost here, and you’ve been eyeing the perfect spot on the shore. But before you can hit the sand, you need to do some groundwork. You need to know where the waves are crashing and what type of beach is best for swimming. And if that’s not enough, you need to figure out how to have the perfect beach day. Here are a few tips:

- Choose your spot wisely: The right spot means getting in close to the waves without getting too wet.

- Know your climate: KNOW WHERE THE BEACH WANTS TO BE PLAYED! Swimming in warm weather or cold? Don’t go—the right spot depends on your climate!

- Bring a things like sunscreen, hat, swimwear, and towels: These will help keep you safe while enjoying the beach.

The perfect beach day starts with planning and preparation.

Beach bag: This is the most important part of your beach day kit. Make sure to include sunscreen, towels, hats, chairs, umbrellas, and any drinks or snacks you'll need for the day.

Fan: A neck fan is a great way to keep cool during the hot days of summer.

Clip-on fan: If you're going to be spending a lot of time on the sand or in direct sunlight, it's best to choose a clip-on fan. These fans are easy to use and come with many different settings so you can find one that fits your needs perfectly.

Misting fans are the right option if you are in places with dry and very hot climates.

What to do once you're at the beach.

When you're at the beach, it's important to get there early. The earlier you start, the better chance you have of finding a place to relax and enjoy the sun. To avoid the heat and hordes of tourists, head to one of the beachside bars or cafes before heading down to the water. Sunscreen is also key – be sure to apply regularly and stay out of direct sunlight as much as possible.

Apply sunscreen regularly

After getting plenty of sleep and applying sunscreen, it's time for another step: getting in the water! Sun exposure can cause skin problems such as skin cancer, so it's important to protect yourself from harmful rays every day. Cover up with sunscreen when outside in the sun and especially during pool hours (between 10am and 4pm).

Take a break from the sun in the heat of the day

It can be really hot out on vacation – take a break from playing in the sand for a while and splash around in some cool water instead. While swimming is great exercise, be careful not to get too wet – that could lead to further problems with skin cells than usual.

Have a picnic lunch

If you're feeling adventurous, try cooking your own picnic lunch onsite using ingredients you find at home or bring along supplies like pantry staples like cheese and eggs or jarred goods like salsa and hummus. And if you want something more complicated (or simply more fun), head to an internet cafe or restaurant for some delicious food poisoning-free eats!

End the day on a high note.

Take a few minutes to relax and get ready for the day ahead. Shower and change into clean clothes before packing your essentials. Review your list of things to pack and make sure everything is accounted for. Finally, enjoy the rest of your evening before getting started on the day ahead.

Change into clean clothes

When it comes time to leave for the day, be sure to switch up your clothing routine and pack according to your usual travel style. You may want to bring along some new clothes or take advantage of sales or discounts when possible. In addition, be sure to pack a sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, snacks, water bottle, and any other necessary items for a beach vacation.

Packing everything accurately can be a challenge; but with some creativity and effort, it can be easy to have the perfect beach day! By reviewers taking note of what they would missing while on vacation (e.g., toiletry items not included in their packing), you’ll be able create an accurate packing list that is tailored specifically for your needs. And if you need help creating a packed bag that fits all of your needs (like those extra-large sunglasses!), no one does it better than our experts at Beach Bum USA!

Enjoying a beautiful day at the beach is a great way to spend a day. However, make sure you're prepared for everything on your list before you go - including sunscreen, swimsuits, and snacks. Make sure to pack everything you'll need for the day so that you can have a relaxing time in the sun!
