Common Errors with the Wavlink AC1200 Setup

The Wavlink AC1200 setup helps extend the WiFi range in your home or business. But if you're trying to set up this device and it's not working, there could be several reasons why. Here are some effective fixes:

Disconnect the Ethernet Cable

  • Disconnect the Ethernet Cable from the Wavlink AC1200 WiFi Extender
  • Reconnect it to another wall outlet or power source (if possible).
  • Try connecting a different device to your modem/router; if this is successful, then you may have an issue with your new Wavlink AC1200 WiFi extender’s configuration settings or compatibility with your modem/router model and operating system version.
  • Check the Wavlink AC1200 router manual.

Check Your Network

Once logged in, you will be shown a list of available networks nearby. Choose your network from there wisely. If you choose the wrong network name, you will face setup errors. Along with that also ensure that your router is working fine. Additionally, there should not be any lag in internet connectivity. If you still encounter any problems with Wavlink login or Wavlink setup errors during this time then follow our troubleshooting tips given here.

  • Try the steps again
  • Check that your password is correct
  • Try a different browser, like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
  • Make sure the browser you are using is up to date, as this can be the cause of many issues
  • Check if you have a good internet connection

Steps for Fixing Errors by Changing Configurationally Settings

If you're having problems with your Wavlink AC1200 setup, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot.

First, check to make sure you have the correct SSID and encryption setting for your router. Your Wavlink might not be picking up your network if the SSID is incorrect or if it has been changed from its default setting (which is "WAVLINK"). You'll need to use the same encryption type that's set on the router: either WPA2 or WEP. If this doesn't work, try resetting both devices by unplugging them from power sources and then waiting 30 seconds before plugging them back in again. If that doesn't help either, try going through another channel or upgrading firmware on both devices to see if anything changes.

Check the Power Supply

Make sure that the extender is plugged into the wall and not a power strip. The extender needs to be plugged directly into the wall. If you are using a power strip, unplug it from the wall and plug it directly into the outlet.

If you're still having trouble, try resetting your extender: unplug it from the wall for 30 seconds, then plug it back in again. If this still doesn't work, try resetting your WiFi router: unplug it from the wall for 30 seconds, then plug it back in again.

The best thing to do is to restart your modem and router. This will reset them and make sure they are both connected properly. If you have any questions, please feel free to reply back and also read about wavlink router flashing red.
