The Legend of Arthur and Halo the Moon Author Biography


Born in London in the last year of WW2, David S Jones at eighteen joined the Middlesex Fire Brigade, serving three years, until eventually leaving for Australia on the ten pound assisted passage scheme.


He enjoyed many adventures including sailing along the Barrier Reef.


Returning to England some years later, he joined the British Army, Household Cavalry and served in Malaya with the Armoured Reconnaissance Squadron part of 99 Ghurkha Brigade.


Back home in the UK, after his tour of duty overseas, he became part of the Queens Guard Mounted Ceremonial Squadron, based in Knightsbridge London riding on many prestigious events like the investiture of The Prince of Wales at Caernarvon.

Having left the Army he worked at various jobs, mostly as a carpenter but also driving trucks.

Sooner or later, he found unlikely employment as a personal bodyguard to an American millionaire and entrepreneur, Budge Edwin Mead travelling throughout Europe.
