PCS coaching

PCS exam is conducted by the state governments of India to recruit candidates for various administrative positions in the state government. The eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus for the PCS exam may differ from state to state.

Eligibility Criteria: PCS coaching

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The age limit for PCS exam varies from state to state but generally, the minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 35 years.
  • The candidate must have a graduate degree from a recognized university.

Exam Pattern: PCA coaching

The PCS exam consists of three stages:

Preliminary Exam: It is an objective-type exam consisting of two papers - General Studies and CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test). Both papers are of 200 marks each and the duration of each paper is two hours.

  • Main Exam: It is a subjective type exam consisting of multiple papers. The number of papers and the duration of each paper may vary from state to state. Generally, the main exam consists of the following papers:General Hindi
  • Essay
  • General Studies I
  • General Studies II
  • General Studies III
  • General Studies IV

Interview: Candidates who qualify for the Main exam are called for the Interview round. The interview is conducted to test the candidate's personality, communication skills, and suitability for the job.

Syllabus:

The syllabus for PCS exam varies from state to state, but generally, the syllabus for Preliminary exam includes topics such as current affairs, history, geography, Indian polity, economics, science, and technology. The syllabus for Main exam includes topics such as Indian and world geography, Indian and world history, Indian polity and governance, economic and social development, environmental ecology, biodiversity and climate change, and ethics, integrity, and aptitude.

Preparation:

Preparing for the PCS exam requires a lot of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Candidates can start their preparation by studying the syllabus thoroughly, practicing previous year question papers, and taking mock tests to improve their time management and problem-solving skills. It is also important to stay updated with current affairs and events happening around the world.
