- d. Four General Studies papers (250 marks each)
- e. Two Optional Papers (250 marks each)
- Personality Test (Interview):
- The final stage of the exam
- Conducted by a panel of experts to assess the candidate's personality, knowledge, and suitability for the job
- Candidates are evaluated on various parameters, including communication skills, leadership, integrity, analytical ability, etc.
Marking Scheme:
- Preliminary Examination: Total 400 marks (200 marks for each paper)
- Main Examination: Total 1750 marks (Paper I to VII 250 marks each, Paper VIII and IX 250 marks each)
- Interview: 275 marks
Selection Process:
- Candidates who clear the Preliminary Examination qualify for the Main Examination
- Candidates who clear the Main Examination are shortlisted for the Interview round
- Final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the Main Examination and Interview round
- The merit list is prepared based on the total marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview
