Money Heist, a.k.a. La Casa de Papel, is one of Netflix's greatest hits in recent years. The Spanish series was deemed a global success with its thrilling heists, shocking plot twists, and well-written characters. The show aired Parts 1 and 2 in 2017 but stopped at Part 5 in 2021. This begs the question, will Money Heist: Season 6 ever come out?

If you watched Part 5, then you know it looks like the Bank of Spain heist will be the last for this group. However, some may think that a sixth part is in the works due to Money Heist's success. Maybe they're hoping the writers will think of new plans for the Professor to initiate. Or is it more likely that they'll never revisit the series? To find out, here's everything you should know about Money heist season 6.

When Is Money Heist: Season 6 Coming Out?

Unfortunately, there's no release date for Money Heist: Season 6. It's also unlikely there'll be a Money Heist: Season 6 in the first place. The previous season, Money Heist: Part 5, was announced as the series' final outing by Netflix.

When Part 5 - Volume 2 was released, the show's creator Alex Pina mentioned: "We've made over 2,000 minutes of fiction with two heists. I think we've exhausted some of the characters' emotional arcs and their arcs of transformation. We've told a lot, and I think it's a good time to stop. It's a very climatic season, and I think it's always better to leave sooner rather than later."

Even though these shatters hope for Money Heist: Season 6, that doesn't mean we won't get any Money Heist-related content soon. Netflix announced that Money Heist will have a spin-off titled Berlin, set to be released in December 2023. The series will focus on Berlin's character and serve as a prequel to Money Heist.

Will The Cast Return For Money Heist: Season 6?

The cast will not return for Money Heist: Season 6 since the series has already finished. However, Pedro Alonso will return as Berlin for the upcoming spin-off series. He'll also be joined by Itziar Ituno and Najwa Nimri, who'll reprise their roles as Raquel Murillo and Alicia Serra, respectively.

Other than them, it's unclear whether the other cast members will return for the Berlin spin-off. Since the majority of the characters were discovered later by the Professor, it's unlikely they'll be a part of Money Heist: Berlin. Still, since the Professor and Berlin are brothers, the former may appear in the prequel.

What Could Money Heist: Season 6 Be About?

Considering the series has ended, we can only dream about what-if scenarios for Money Heist: Season 6. For instance, the Professor could gather the remaining crew members for a much bigger heist. However, considering the previous season's ending, it's more logical for them to settle down and live normally after everything they've been through.

Meanwhile, Money Heist: Berlin will show the character's early life before the Royal Mint of Spain heist. Although the previous seasons already showed bits of Berlin's past through flashbacks, the prequel aims to flesh out his story further and give us more time with the complex man we know and love.
