Hot-Wire Anemometer: Hot-wire anemometers use a very thin wire that is heated. As wind flows over the wire, it cools it down, and the rate of cooling is used to determine the wind speed. Hot-wire anemometers are particularly useful for measuring low wind speeds and are commonly used in research and industrial applications.

Sonic Anemometer: Sonic anemometers use ultrasonic sound waves to measure wind speed and direction. They work by emitting ultrasonic pulses between pairs of transducers, and the time it takes for these pulses to travel in the direction of the wind and against the wind is used to calculate wind speed and direction.

These anemometers can be handheld, portable, or mounted on a fixed structure or weather station for continuous monitoring. They provide crucial data for a wide range of applications, including weather forecasting, wind energy assessment, air quality monitoring, and environmental research.
